We love Iron Mountain! It is one of our favorites! It’s never crowded, even if it’s pretty full. The sites are very large with plenty of trees. There is no water or sewer at the individual sites but there are several water stations throughout to fill up your camper or jugs and dump station on the way out.

We arrived Friday evening. Arose early Saturday morning to enjoy coffee and watch the sunrise. It is an absolutely beautiful location. Immediately ants started crawling all over us. We went into the trailer and they were all in the inside. Even in our bed. Fortunately, we had some insect spray and it helped to keep them under control for a short while. The other campers also had the same problem and were having to pack up and leave. The tent campers had to sleep in their cars. The shower house had millions of ants swarming the concrete entryway. The gatekeeper was well aware of the problem but did not share it upon checkin. We were completely infested again on Sunday and decided to just go home. We are very disappointed and feel a refund is in order. This campground should be closed until the ant problem is under control.

nice spot. needs a little work, has a lot of loose gravel & could be a danger to older folks.otherwise close to water & shady!!!

Iron Mountain is old, the sites are unlevel, and water is only at various places but I love this campground. I hope it never changes. It's rustic charm is what I love. The. bathhouses are always clean. Arkadelphia is close with everything you may need and the people are all friendly; I always enjoy camping Iron Mountain.

No full hookups. But despite that a great area to camp. Great showers. Beautiful views.

The biggest draw back, is most sites are very unlevel and uneven. This trip landed me in ER with sever sprang ankle with torn ligaments. So please be careful! But other than that this is a beautiful lake. Bathroom are good to be dated. They are functional. Great to have electric too.
