Bring plenty of tick spray and check your children. We have camped here in the past. This May they are bad.

Great trout fishing when the water is down.

We camped at site 6 ver shaded decent site. Disappointed to find cigarette butts all over the ground. A tree stump with odd fungi growing out of it right next to picnic table. Site was advertised as river view which was incorrect. There was no river view and absolutely no way to get to river, area was so overgrown trail looked more like a small animal trail then human trail. Site next to us 5 still had no view of river but had good trail to river. Bathrooms were clean and had AC

Review is lower than normal, because the COE was releasing water from the dam for the 5 days that we were here which resulted in the river being 6-8 feet above normal, so we were unable to fish which was the reason for us choosing this campground. It would have been nice to receive some type of notice that the river was going to be elevated by the COE so that we would have had the option to go to a different park.

Additionally, there are paths to the river behind most of the campsites that back up to the river, but they are so overgrown that they are not usable. In speaking with other campers who have been the the campground before the COE used to keep the paths clear before covid, but didn't clear them out after the park reopened.

Our site was pretty unlevel. We used two packs of leveling blocks to get level.

On the positive side the bathrooms are nice and have A/C. Less than 30 minutes to Eureka Springs. Dam Site Lake sites looked nice.

The water at our campsite was turned off and locked, the bathrooms at our area were closed and there was not a trash dumpster anywhere. Apparently the park is closed on 11/1, something that was not divulged when we made our reservations a few months ago. Thankfully we had an electric hookup.

This past Tuesday April 27, 2021. We had a major storm come through. Dropped 8 inches of rain by 11 AM. Not one park official come around to check on any of us Campus. When I tried to call the number up at the booth nobody answered. I needed help getting my electric unplugged so I could get out of there. Because I was left stranded from a boyfriend who left me at 1 AM in the morning and I needed help to get out of there my by myself. The only way we got in contact with anybody was my girlfriend called from her home to another location for somebody to get some help up at the booth and get somebody down to me. When you have a storm coming in that's bringing in that much water and you don't come check on your campers those people should be fired. Where was your care for your fellow campers?

Located along the river, a prime spot for trout fishing. Bring a kayak so that you can get to the far side and the deeper holes for fishing

Bathrooms were filthy. There were no trash receptacles. Camp host was not available.

We were lied to. I would never have booked this campground if there was not water available at the site. When we arrived the water was locked. I spent the first 2 days attempting to find another place to go. When we found one we left. The site was also extremely unlevel. It over taxed our automatic leveler. The individual that is host or works there does nothing. We went to here right away. She told us just move to the one spot that has water but I checked. That spot was rented the next day. After finding out the host has to be the one to assist in canceling and getting money returned she was no where in sight. Went to her trailer and it was sad. It was an area that was trashed and looked really bad for someone that worked there. She would never come to the door.
We have been to many Army Corp campgrounds and have enjoyed our time at almost all of them. This is by far the absolute worst in help and environment. I would never advise anyone to stay. And I truly hope the individual isn’t being paid bc the state of Arkansas is getting ripped off.
