Nice spacious sites with lots of shade and level driveways. No water hookups, and the water access to fill a fresh tank os hard to access without blocking traffic. I had to go to Riverview loop, circle it, and use the community water access across from the dumpsters.

The campground is beautiful and peaceful with towering pines all around. My 3.5 year old grandson enjoyed the swings and flat space around the CG to explore. A short walk to the water spigot was no problem and the water was good. Previous reports of awful bathrooms had made me wary, but I did not find that the case at all. Bathrooms are situated in one building and each is private with locking doors, clean sink & toilet, and the shower has a hinged seat available. They were cleaned and stocked daily while we were there. No traffic noise to listen to only the birds. River trail is close by, but the rock steps down are a little steep, not difficult, but not groomed stairs. I cant wait to go back and relax at this park! River was cold, but we swam at the lake above the dam.

The actual campsite experience was fantastic for my lady and I. We hung our hammocks and parked our yaks just fine. If you are kayaking or canoeing, be aware that the "walkin" access from the river is up a set of stone stairs that's pretty rugged and definitely a two person job to get up with a vessel. We paddled up river while the dam was generating and finding and getting up those stairs was the most difficult part. If you're driving in to the site and hauling in it's not a concern at all, there's a site up the road that has a real nice water entrance that I'd reccomend over the stairs. All in all, the physical site and the river were a great experience, just the disconnect between them that made things challenging.
