Beautiful site, right on the water, and with a fantastic view. A number of good hiking trails were a short drive away. Pack for some wind as it really was blowing the days we were there. And bring hand sanitizer or travel soap as there wasn't any in the restrooms.

Great campground. Would give it a 5 star however this particular site is a nightmare to back into if you aren't experienced. Has shade and water access is not far at all.

The lake was absolutely beautiful, but the campground sites need to be updated! They were hard to get to (we have a 38-foot 5th wheel) and as experienced as my husband is in backing up a 5th wheel, the site roads aren't designed to maneuver a camper easily. Our family was next to us with a smaller camper but again the area was so small that their truck was blocking another site. We do not recommend this campground without physically looking at the campsite first to see what would work best as the online pictures to the sites are misleading.

This is the nicest and prettiest COE campground I have experienced. The Dam Site Lake campground is basically a small island in a beautiful clear blue lake. Virtually all campsites have a great water view and most are on the water. We were in site 27 which was on the water but had some trees. Personal at check in were nice. Saw deer in trail area across from island and bald eagle soaring above the dam. Baby geese were swimming. Quaint Little Eureka Springs is nearby if that interest you. The Dam Site River campground is also nice if other is full but the Lake site is best.

One of the best campgrounds we have ever stayed at! Weather was fair, but found things to do locally, very well kept from the grounds to the bathrooms! Kudos to the staff from the park attendant to the cleaning staff! Look very much to stay again in future, understand why so hard to get into. Again, thanks to all at damsite campground for making my stay exceptional!

We stayed at site 27. It's a bit tricky to back in - but we were fine. If backing in to a site worries you - this isn't the site for you. The shower house was not working during our stay. Other than that - it is now our favorite local campground! The view from 27 is amazing and the cool breeze coming off the water makes this a MUST for camping in the warmer months. There are several camp sites - but, we didn't feel crowded. The sites on the other side of the island were under water, and the very tip of the peninsula was underwater at the time we visited. If there's a lot of rain - I would check on your site before driving there. Site 27 was perfect for us and plenty of places to take the dog for a walk. We hope to return again!

Site #27 - Beautiful site. Close to the lake and beach. Lots of shade just great for sunset and moon rising. Kind of odd that it is designed to face away from the lake when pulling a trailer and you are facing the fronts of the other campers on the hill that DO face the lake. Had to level a lot more than normal on the site. Added 3 blocks on one side, usually we only have to use 1 or 2. For some reason we must have attracted every small yappy dog that was in the campsite. It was very annoying and tent campers must have been deaf to it. We were very patient, only gave them a few looks after the dogs had been barking constantly for 20-30 minutes. They did finally cover their cage with a towel. Kind of sad to see the dogs in cages and not on a leash to enjoy the outdoors. The next campers had another yappy dog. but they did keep it under control. We were camping with friends that have 2 labs, which are very well behaved. Then the clean out. WOW - This is so old. Wasn't forewarned about it this ancient method. There is no water hook up to clean out the black tank, only a hose with a brass nozzle tube. There was no fresh water at the dump at all. There was a water spigot at the end of the parking lot, which we presumed was fresh water, but it did not work. It would have been nice to know so we could have filled our freshwater tank before leaving and disconnecting at the campsite. I'm not sure how others do a clean out of their black tank, but we have sprayers in ours that clean it, so we don't have a lot of residue. Not being able to do this caused us concern, as we always flush our tanks. ALWAYS. We made it work even though we were totally soaked by the time we were done. This information should be on your website. If it is, it was not very up front. Just knowing ahead of time we would have been able to plan and be prepared. Beaver Lake is known for it's beautifully clean waters and that did not disappoint.

PROS: Such a beautiful little campground! Well-maintained, stunning views from every site. Good cell reception if you have to work while there. CONS: COE does not provide paper maps for campers. The attendant said shes waiting for delivery of them. No maps and no attendants on Saturdays or Sundays made it difficult to find the pump out station, which we later discovered is at a separate location. Site 27 allows for wonderful panoramic lake views but is a challenge to back into, especially in the dark. Photo doesnt show that you have navigate through two tight turns (while backing in) to park your camper.

Overall, it is an exceptionally well-run site. The only drawback was the dump station. It was across the highway and difficult to maneuver with my fifth-wheel. There is really no area to wait your turn. Unfortunately, a recent guest had a dumping mishap and there was too much of a mess for me to deal with. We ended up driving home and dumping there.

Site 26 had an amazing view and was right on the water. It was probably the coolest campsite we have ever stayed at! It also had water hook-up which was a bonus. Only gave the park 4 stars however, because the showers weren't the cleanest and also the water was cold and the spray lasted maybe 15 seconds.

The access to most sites was very manageable (for a camper). All the sites were well maintained and clean. The sites surround the bathrooms so they are all about the same distance away. You are on a peninsula so great views, swimming, and fishing opportunities await you! The restrooms/showers were clean and in working order. Definitely plan on returning!

Beautiful setting on peninsula ring of RV sites. Gravel shores were perfect for launching kayaks and going for a swim. Could not have asked for better.
