We really enjoyed our site. Only one wish - the "moat monster" toilet on the non-island side was a modern build with showers so you don't have to drive to the island.

Perfect site right on the shore. Wanted to be on the peninsula, but this was pretty damned good. The wind though was surprising. I had to erect a wind barrier just to allow a charcoal grill to work. Nonetheless, this was a beautiful site. We wanted to be on the peninsula, as stated before. We walked there and there were at least 21 vacant sites, but when we made our reservation, there were NO SITES available. How does that happen?The 30 amp receptacle had a ground fault, so no power. Fortunately, I had a 50 amp dog bone and so we were in business.Also, like other sites around Beaver Lake, most sites have electric only. So plan your water, and sewage usage accordingly.

Site 10. Not on island which seemed really busy. Fantastic waterfront site. Very quiet. Not crowded. Folks at the booth were very friendly. Bathrooms are vault, not a big deal unless you’re in a tent.

Great place to camp with water front sites. Only reason for not having full 5 stars is because the sites on the shore, not on the island, still have vault toilets. Would like to see those upgraded to the flush/shower house like the island. No complaints, lady at the check in was super nice, I was worried about them not letting us in because we got there an hour before check in, the reviews on google mentioned they were completely strict and campers only etc, but she was super friendly and even came around and checked on us after we finished setting up. Also it was super windy the entire time for us, not sure if we just caught bad weather or if this lake is big enough its just always windy. And most sites seem to be backwards in my opinion, they have them set up so your trailer door opens inland, vs facing the water. Seems like they should be the other way so you step out your camper towards the water. But just being picky here.
