I have been going to Prairie Creek for 54 years. The campground is clean with lots of trees. For the most part the sites are level. The campground was designed and developed when RV were typically smaller, so fitting a large unit into some parts of the campground can be a little more challenging. I go to enjoy the lake. Boating, swimming, fishing. Years ago the swimming area use to be much nicer. I don't know what happened, but the concrete/sand bottom area has been removed. One you get into the water it is still clean and refreshing. I appreciated there were life jackets that could be borrowed for use at the swimming area. The pit toilets have been upgraded to flush toilets and the shower house that we used has also gotten an upgrade. They are both more rustic but functional. Given the economical pricing of camping compared to other places this is a great place to visit.

We camped the first week of April in a 30 foot RV. It was very quiet this chilly spring week with many unoccupied sites. This is a large, spread-out campground in a beautiful, hilly, wooded setting directly on the lake. It has a nice boat ramp, boat docks, playground and swim beach. The campground is in a great location about 10 minutes outside Rogers, and a short drive to Bentonville and Bella Vista. Our site was about $25/night for electric and water hookups, and a lake view, so a really great value. Some sites on different loops were electric only. I think there are also some primitive sites and sites for tents only. Some of the restrooms just have vault toilets but there is at least one with flush toilets and showers, which I didn't use but looked clean. The biggest negative as some previous posts have mentioned, quite a few sites were unlevel. We were able to switch to a more level site, but I imagine it may be more difficult to switch during the busy summer months. We checked out several of the trails in Rogers and Bentonville, and the Crystal Bridges museum. We plan to go back.

Nice quiet campground. Could use some hiking trail maintenance, but we enjoyed our stay.

A wonderful experience. Try to get a spot that had a water bib next to your unit. Some are further away which is not always convenient

Nice camp area. Lots of space between sites. Be selective. Some of the sites will be hard to back into.

Very nice and easily accessed spots in 65 and 63. 65 had two issues: 1. 120vac had dirt dobber nests in the plugs and would not work. 2. was a little more effort than normal to level. 63 was great in every respect. Wish there was a little more cooperation between the marina and Corp though. From both 63 and 65, it was quite a hike to the marina where my boat was slipped. BTW, Mike and Patti (sp?) are fantastic people. They run and keep a very nice and clean marina. The cove between the park and the marina finally dried up enough to where it wasn't a bad walk, but when it is wet and muddy, you have to go around. That is a hike. It would be great if there was a cost share for some sort of golf cart/bike and walk path was built for a short cut. Could bring enough business for a few groceries to be added. It would be an added convenience for the customer to further enjoy the park. Not at all critical of Prairie Creek Park. Want to make it even better. Beautiful park.

We had a nice, relaxing time. The site was nice but a bit small
