Was hard to find campsite as no map of park was offered. Bathrooms were ok but really needs shelves and hooks for towels and clothes. Lots of things to do in Rogers/Bentonville. Don't miss Crystal Bridges Museum.

DO NOT reserve site 147. It should actually be closed permanently because the turkey vulchers sit on the table and poop on it constantly. I was told the site is a former bird sanctuary and they won't go away, now they a campsite is there. The site is also too close to the water, making the fire ring unusable. This lake suffers from flooding and they are slow to maintain sites IMO. There were rocks all over the pavement, due to flooding, but they had cleaned up the site to be useable, totally unsafe for kids. Maybe the poor maintenance was due to not being in season on May 12th when we arrived. We switched to site 115, away from the water because that was the only decent site available with power and water. It was nice, with good views. Some sites don't have water, so be careful when you reserve. The dump site at the park exit worked fine. The nearby playground was nice for the grandkids. Overall the park is in good shape, but maintenance was lacking during our visit. The best sites in the 30 range are closed due to flooding. We walked the area and those are absolutely the best waterfront sites, when the water is down. Too bad the authorities can't manage the lake level better. Seems odd they can't predict rainfall adequately to keep the lakes at the right max elevation, instead of causing all the damage from flooding. I'm told it's always a problem. COE must have messed up the design somehow, lacking adequate water management skills.

We loved the campground. The people at the front were great as was the grounds keeper we met (he was a dead ringer for Santa).

The campground is close to the water and provides stunning views! We had nice trees for shade at our site. We camped in March so the comfort station was closed. Some signs were broke off (by the drinking water faucet at the dump station) or nonexistent (site #s for each loop) so we had trouble finding our site. But a friendly family helped us out :) The surrounding area has tons of interesting places to visit and trails to hike and bike! We really enjoyed our stay!
