A really decent and level spot with plenty of space. The loop is a little confusing with the campsites but the park attendants were helpful. We parked our pop up here for a weekend and loved the views and the weather was perfect. Note this site does not have true lake access, the site next door however does and you could probably ask your neighbor to use their trail. Other than that would totally return to this spot.

Ranger was extremely rude - he yelled at us for off-roading after we had to pull off to the side to check in because there was a broken down camper van in the way. This was after the host had just told us to park off to the side in the grass ? Camp hosts very unwelcoming and not friendly at all. Would not recommend after my encounters with the staff but the campsites were also way too close and position oddly. Bathrooms not stocked or cleaned. Theres better out there.

I wish there were more campsites with water hook ups.
Toilet facilities are outhouses except for the one shower facility.
Beautiful location, but could use an amenity upgrade.

This is a beautiful campground with lots of space and trees. Most sites are close enough to a water outlet that you can fill your tank with a couple of long hoses. So bring some long hoses and a portable tank to carry your gray water to the dump station.
Don't expect to use the showers. There's only one that I found and it was more for washing off after swimming. There's no place to sit and there's no place to hang your clothes.
Get directions to your site when you check in because the signage is lacking. Better yet, figure out where you site is before you get there using the map on Recreation.gov.
