As always, Horseshoe Bend is our favorite campground. So peacful and relaxing. Our last trip we did notive a lot of people not adhereing to the leash rule with pets. This is very concerning as we have a big dog. She is alway leashed due to her size. This trip we encountered at least 4 incidents where dogs were not leashed and ran toward us tring to walk our dog. One actually came close enough there was some doggie aggession between the two. Ours was on the leash but still made it hard to contain with the other pet not on leash. If there was some way to impress on campers the need and requirement for the leashes at all times that would certianly be wonderful. Luckily our dog did not hurt the other smaller dog, but she could have done a lot of damage had we not been able to control her to get her distanced from the other dog. Other than that, as I said, this is our favorite campground. We love the lake, the saftey, the proximity of town if needed but not close enough to be a bother. Park was well maintained for sure.

We were camped in site153. There is a large dead tree that needs to be removed. Someone has cut some of the limbs of the top but is still looks dangerous. The was a man and his three sons camping directly above us. Two of the boys look like they were well under 16 years old and were riding the jet skis often. The came so close to the back of our pontoon boat tied up at our site that water was sprayed into our boat. I saw no rangers around while we were there. I would have call the sheriff department but was concerned about what the man would do to us if he thought we turned him in. We both are in our 70's and did not want a confrontation with him. The man acted very angary and consistently yelled at his boys, using loud profanity and acting like about anything would really set him off. We have camped in site 153 for around 10 years and love it. This is an isolated incident and the first time we have been actual concern about our safety. He had a 6 banner hanging from his pop up camper that had a finger up like he was flipping everyone off. Thanks for your time and we look forward many more trips to that spot this year.
