We reserved site 47 (Juniper Basin Groupsite) at Devils Garden Campground. We were forced to share the site with strangers that showed up without a reservation. The camp host insisted we split the group site down the middle despite having reserved the entire group site six months in advance. He insisted that site 47 is a separate site and stated that they hold this site for people who do not have reservations. However, if you look on recreation.gov this is clearly incorrect. There is no separate site 47 within the the group site. Site 47 IS the Juniper Basin group site. I have pictures, but I don't see a place to upload them. Just keep in mind that if you reserve the group sites, the camp host can force you to share your site with strangers who show up without reservations, regardless of whether you feel comfortable doing so (and without any refund).

Arriving at the campsite was truly amazing. It was like having our own private planet to explore.

This is an incredible campsite. Very spacious and a lot of cool areas to explore. We had a group of moms and toddlers and were able to spread out despite having 5 tents. Its hard to tell from the map, but theres actually a pit toilet right at the site which was a nice surprise. Only downside was that a couple of crows liked to lurk on the rocks above the site and mess with our stuff whenever we left to hike. We were a bit laidback about leaving stuff out because we were coming from Colorado and it was a luxury to not be worried about bears, but they were super annoying. They managed to open plastic containers, knock over coolers, peck through canvas packing cubes, make a hole in a soft-sided water container, and rip up our trash bag (distributing trash all across the site). We learned our lesson and kept everything in the car, but not before we lost a significant amount of food and water. Would have been nice if the camp host gave us a heads up on night one when she stopped by.

This was our first time here - and it was just wonderful!!! The site was clean, the bathrooms were clean. Very nice. My only thought would be that it would be nice to have a better route out of the campground. When we were trying to leave for the day we were stuck in the line for the hike right there. Also, we did leave one day to go into Moab. When we tried to come back, we were greeted with the note that the it was full and could not enter. There should be someone in the booth that we could have told, we were actively staying on site. But there was no one ever in the booth.
