Gorgeous area. Facilities are functional but not fancy. I recommend trips into Moab to take a break from the summer heat. You can't buy ice in the park, so plan your cooler management well!

The campgrounds are spectacular, very hard to get a reservation, but if you do it will be worth getting up at 6:00 AM, six months in advance, and hovering over the add to cart button, to click at just the right moment. No big rigs here and only about 50 spaces. They have potable water which is unusual for parks in the area. They have firewood for purchase , and a beautiful arch right in the amphitheater. To be nestled in the rock with views of the park to the east was delightful. Also, so much to do both in and out of the park ( you must go to Canyonlands: Island in the Sky district).

Excellent location, easy access to many popular destinations in Arches. Campground hosts were friendly and helpful. They took time to stop by and discuss the rules and answer our questions. Views of the La Sal Mountains from our campsite were wonderful. The facilities were clean and well maintained. I only gave four stars because the campground is very busy / crowded. Not much privacy from adjoining sites. A few campers (not too close to us) absolutely packed their campsites with camp trailers, multiple tents and a whole bunch of campers, and they were not in a group site. It could get pretty noisy at times. But, most likely due to the great Campground Hosts, things always quieted down by 8:00.

Most beautiful campground in the NPS. We love every trip we make. Love the arches and hikes from the campground.

Sites are a little tight but great to be able to stay in the Park and hike at sunrise and sunset. The ranger program on the stars and night sky was AWESOME, funny and informative.

We enjoyed our stay at the Watchman Campground. The campground was clean and the views were amazing. Campers should be aware that if you leave the park, you will need to wait in line to get back in (we did this every time after 5 pm and there was no line). Also, we visited in May and every afternoon - early evening there was strong winds and short thunder/rainstorms...make sure to check the updated weather posted on bathroom walls - there is very limited cell service there.

This is a beautiful site. It took me 2 weeks to finally get a site in this campground. I don't know what can be done.

This is a beautiful and unique campground. Each site is different based on the natural resources. Each site has a beautiful view. The campground has nice bathhouses with flush toilets and water for drinking. We also enjoyed the trailhead that starts in the campground. You can also walk to the Devil’s Garden Trailhead. We loved our stay in site #27!

The grounds themselves are beautiful and loved our drive in! We were not able to have a fire due to extreme wind and the wind was no joke. Was blowing sand into our tent and caving our tent in all evening until we eventually broke down camp at 1am and slept in the car. There’s little coverage, so if you are tent camping - check the wind weather :)
