Wonderful campground in the shadow of Mt Bierstadt!

The campground is small, but very well kept. The bathroom is a pit toilet but was clean, had plenty of toilet paper and was not stinky. My campsite was by a creek and had a nice spot for my tent. The picnic table was freshly painted or re-topped and was in excellent shape. Highly recommend this little gem!

Beautiful campground, at first glance it was very clean! Our dogs started acting weird on day 2, ended up having to take them to the Emergency Vet all the way in Bailey as they were unable to walk at one point, barely breathing, and urinating themselves. Turns out they had found some leftover THC somewhere and were miserably high. Please clean up after yourselves!!! Thank goodness our toddler didnt find this.Ended up leaving all 3 of our campsites a day early to make sure we had easy access to a vet if they got worse. Other than that, was very enjoyable! Just keep a close eye on your dogs!

Campgrounds were great, nice tree coverage on the east side. Camp host was kind and provided firewood.

The campground is very nice. The restrooms were super clean and not smelly. Always enough TP. The camp host (Omar) was very friendly and helpful. I booked a site for the wrong night but was able to find another open site for two nights. Omar let me apply my missed reservation to the new site. It would be nice if the host didn't have to run a generator continually, but I got used to the sound and it faded from notice.

Gorgeous campsite! Tent sites 10, 11, and 12 are right next to the small stream, giving them instant tranquillity. A wonderful place to camp.The camp host was also very nice. Highly recommended!

fantastic area and an incredible site, i loved the short walk to the table and tent pad!

Great, clean campground! Very easy to get to, roads are completely clear. The only thing was our campsite did not have room for two cars which we did not realize until we got there. Luckily the people in the site next to us were super nice and did have a space where we could park one of our cars! Just know that spots 9-12 are not drive up spots and do only come with one parking spot each, and youll have to walk your gear over to the tent pad.

Beautiful area! This site was secluded, shady most of the day, and very decently sized. Main road noise was minimal. Bathroom was nice and clean. Maybe it was an off weekend for the camp host, but he gets a D rating from me because our fire ring was not cleaned out upon our arrival and he had no firewood all weekend. Nor did he offer any advice as to where we may be able to get some.

Loved our time at this campground! The drive up Guanella Pass was beautiful and scenic, passing many water features, and we even passed a group of mountain goats! No firewood available at the campground when we went, so we had to return to Georgetown to get some. The sites that need to be reserved are more surrounded by forestry and a little nicer than the first come first serve loop. Overnight was pretty cold in June, but that's to be expected in the mountains. Would definitely come back!

The camp site was beautiful. Unfortunately we were across the street from the host and some young guys came into the camp site next to us and were VERY loud and disruptive. They were drinking and using drugs which made me uncomfortable to get out of my tent and seek help from the campground host. They were loud and partying until 4 am when they finally left, leaving trash around their site. I don't think anyone on this side of the campground got any sleep that night.

Clean vault toilets, potable water pumps, clean site, great location with great nearby hikes.One nitpick - there are notes/descriptions of the site that state to get your firewood locally, and there are bulletin boards near the site that mention the cost of firewood, but I was not able to figure out how/where to buy that firewood.In the end, I ended up driving to a Sinclair gas station a few exits east on I-70 and buying firewood there ($1/piece at the time).

Easy access to the site. Could fit up to a 25' trailer. Site is near the road which is very busy from about 4:30 AM to 6:00 PM in the summer. I would stay here again even with the traffic, as this is a very difficult reservation to get.

Great walk in site. You have neighbors to the left along the creek that are a little close, but the noise from the creek would drown out any normal noise. Can be hard to get a reservation here and hauling gear from the car can be a challenge depending on the length of the gear list.

The campsite is well maintained. Our only disappointment was with our site location. The picnic table/grill/fire pit were 30 yards from our campsite, making it incredibly inconvenient. When choosing sites, if this is important to you, stay away from site 18.

Peaceful campground with good spots. Friendly camp host, spots are clean and set up nice. We had a spot next to the creek, good spots for hammocks, the bathrooms were crazy clean for bucket toilets.

We saw several rocky mountain wildlife in or near camp. The views were most excellent and the sites were very nice. They have actual pads for tens so your tent doesn't end up on a steep slope. There are trails and interesting things to see nearby - like the Cabin Creek Hydroelectric plant. We plan to go again.

Campground was clean including the bathrooms. Very close to several trails at Guanella Pass.

Despite a rainy, wet and cold camping trip, our family loved Guanella Pass Campground. We had spot 9, which was close enough to the parking that hauling things back to the car at night was not a pain, but was far enough away that car noise was not an issue. The sounds of the river put us to sleep each night and we woke to birdsong in the morning. No bear lockers, but again, you are close enough to your car to keep food safe. The fire ring and tent pad were clean and well-maintained.

Camp sites have no privacy. Ground is very hard, and is difficult to setup tent spikes in.

That being said, campground is well maintained, has very clean bathrooms and has large fire pits, grills and picnic benches.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
