Cold Springs Campground is located in the Clear Creek Ranger District, Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests (54 min southwest of Boulder, CO) with an elevation of 9,335 feet. There are a total of 35 campsites including 3 tent-only sites. The campground is normally open from mid May to mid September. 32 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 20 and 45 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Prices start at $22.00 per night. Some amenities include drinking water, playground, restroom. Activities include biking, fishing, hiking trails.

We stay ever year for a quick getaway out of Denver. Park Attendant was great, very helpful! Saw a hugh moose with the biggest rack we have even seen to add to our memories! No hookups but that's what you want in the wilderness. Great cell service! And a convenience store close by! Until next year...

This campsite is well-maintained, and the scenery was incredible. The short walk up to the vista always stuns, but the path to the meadow of wildflowers even at the end of July was the highlight of our trip.

Cold Springs is a beautiful, well-kept campground that was just far enough out to feel remote, but close enough to be easily reached. The campsites were well-spaced. I've never camped anywhere where the other campers were this quiet. I would definitely camp here again.

I absolutely love this campsite. My great grandparents brought myself and my family camping here every year in May and I had the greatest moments here. This year I was able to bring my 2 children and husband who all have never deep wood camped like this it was amazing. Great cell service too we have tmobile

Site 24 might be the best one there. We sure appreciated it! Lovely campground that was quiet and has a great trail with a view. The vault toilets were unusable due to the smell, and the playground was unusable for our 4 year old, due to weeds and just the sheer size of the equipment. Its more for older children.

Our campground hosts were impeccable about keeping everything clean and organized. They even offered to deliver the firewood we needed to purchase. I really enjoyed the location specifically of the spots we reserved!

The campsites are nice, but I would say the driveway lengths might be a bit under what the site says they are, lots of hiking to do and St Mary's glacier hike was amazing and the views stunning once there. Camp sites are very close to the highway so you do get a good amount of traffic noise and the occasional Jake brake.

Overall, great campground. Map needs to be updated because several spots are literally feet away from each other. We had RV, and had to buy the site next to ours to avoid someone else camping right in front of RV door.

This is a really great little campground. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Of course you could always hope for bigger sites and a little bit more space for things like a bump out. But overall a really solid place to stay. In particular, a good base camp location if you're exploring the nearby Golden State Park. We were also able to use the showers at the community center about 4 minutes away for eight bucks a day. So that was a big help. And also helpful that it's the stones throw back to Golden or Denver if you need something there. Would definitely stay here again.

We have camped here several times over the last 6 years. This year, 2024, was the worst. The roads are in rough shape, the camp sites were littered with trash, the fire pits were not cleaned out. It definitely hasn't been kept up with this year.

The campground is very good with easy access to the state park, but the grounds are very close to the road. There is more [heavy] weekend traffic than I realized.

Clean, well-maintained and frequently monitored. Lots of space between pads. Just a few miles down the road from Golden Gate State Park for excellent hiking and fishing. The $8 reservation fee is a little steep for a $24 tent site.
