The campground is nice with plenty of space between the sites. Our site was level & didn't even need the orange blocks. The views are beautiful and the lake is small but great for a relaxing paddle around the water. What isn't great is the other campers who don't bother to leash their dogs. There is the rule that dogs have to be on a 6 foot leash but nobody enforces it. The camp host does nothing. After the dog next to my campsite charged me after I came out of our RV and I mentioned this to the camp host the next day, he told me that for anything to be done, your dog or yourself has to be hurt. This has become a more increasing problem over the last few years and it is time that the national and state parks start following what private campgrounds do. Allowing people to do whatever they want, and not following the dog leash laws, ruins the whole camping experience.

I believe we should be entitled to some amount of refund. When we arrived at our site on Sunday May 21 we found that the water faucets were bagged over and out of use. The "host" told us that until test rests came back stating that the water was OK we would not be allowed to use campsite water. He did state that water was available in Red Feather Village at the public pump where donations were recommended and expected. The "host" speculated that "results" might be back on Monday May 22 but that did not happen. In fact the faucets we still closed on May 24 when we left.
In the past we have "Dry Camped" at various facilities where a discount was offered due to lack of water. No such offer was made here.

A perfect place to unwind and enjoy cooler temps in the Mountains. I really liked the view I had.
The vault toilets are always fun but were clean. Just wow that is a lot of smell trying to cover up a lot of smell. Sights were clean and well maintained and the hosts friendly and helpful.

The campsite was clean, with bear storage, grill and plenty of room. It had nice mature trees for shad and our hammock. The restrooms were cleaned multiple times a day and cleaner than any other park I’ve been to! Close to lake for fishing and water activities.

Beautiful area. Trails from campsites to the lake on the lakeside sites. Stars were gorgeous. Our site had a bear proof locker and electric hookup. Restrooms were immaculate. The camp host is on top of it and she was so informative and kind. Will definitely be back.

This is a nice campground. The couple that are hosts have been there several years. Each site is clean when you arrive. There are a few double sites. Firewood is available for purchase.
