This was out second year visiting Dowdy Lake. Everything was great again! The hosts were helpful and friendly, and the sites and vault toilets were very clean. We plan to make this location a family tradition each summer!

We had a beautiful campsite, perfectly shaded with little sun and plenty of room for our camper/tow vehicle. We enjoyed stunning lake views and being close to the water/hiking trail. We also enjoyed not having another campsite directly across from us so it felt secluded even though the campground was fully booked. The weather, wildlife, and vegetation were all amazing! Highly recommend this campground. We only stayed one night, so when we return, we would want to stay a few nights and take advantage of going out on Dowdy Lake and being able to check out the surrounding lakes and the "town". All in all, a great stay!

Dowdy is a beautiful campground. The USFS should consider adding more sites to Dowdy lake or start adding camp sites to other lakes nearby. The camp hosts were very nice and helpful.

Dowdy Lake is a beautiful camping spot! The campground hosts did an amazing job keeping the the campground clean for each new arrival. They did an especially great job keeping the bathrooms clean and well-stocked. Loved the fire works on July 3. First time we've seen that.
I have a concern about campers on electric bikes zipping up and down the campground roads, especially with so many young campers who can't recognize the gravel roads as actual streets where they should look both ways before crossing. Very dangerous!

Got an email before we drove up saying there were water issues. We were in e loop and had to commute to c loop for water. But the weather was nice and the fishing was good.

Mobile Data Speed Map
#123
If there are speed tests submitted for a campground the campsite icons will be colored based on the average download speed and the border will be colored based on the average upload speed.
In this example Campsite #123 has very good download speeds and decent upload speeds. If a campsite has a solid yellow color it means there was no data speed detected in the test(s). Clicking on a campsite icon reveals more details.
