Kelly Dahl Campground is located in the Boulder Ranger District, Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests (39 min west of Boulder, CO) with an elevation of 8,621 feet. There are a total of 25 campsites. The campground is normally open from mid May to mid October. Sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 22 and 40 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Prices start at $18.75 per night. Some amenities include playground. Activities include horseback riding, hiking trails.

It's a well maintained campground that is close to Denver metro area. I wish they would have had photos of the spots because when I arrived, my spot was right next to a playground(spot 30). It was NOT a peaceful weekend with random kids cutting through my site.

Kelly Dahl is such a great location only 30 minutes down Boulder Canyon to Boulder. Most sites have shade trees and all have great treed mountain scape views. Bathrooms are well kept and there is a water hydrant for use. Have to say that Mike and his wife, the camp hosts were one of the biggest positives for this camp site. They manage the facility extremely well and were super helpful in helping us fit out the rest of our stay with reservations with late cancellation sites when the online portal showed full when we were booking. They also dealt with a very difficult situation and removed a disruptive group when necessary for the enjoyment of other guests. Thanks for helping our stay to be a memorable one!

Very clean and well-spaced bathrooms! If you are looking for quieter sections in terms of road noise, try the back loop. It was nice to walk all three loops after traveling all day.

Very pretty area and the campsite was clean and had a huge table. The restrooms were very clean, even smelled nice! Our toddler loved the playground as well. Overall, a great experience.

Kelly Dahl is a nice campground to get away from the heat of summer and be near Nederland and Blackhawk Colorado. It is quiet during the week and busy on the weekends. Vault toilets and drinking water are well placed around the campground. Several camp sites look to be so far out of level that they are unusable for RV camping.I can recommend the following: 022, 024, 025, 026, 027, 031, 032, 035

I reserved my first site based on a map; the location showed it to be on the perimeter of the campground, so I assumed it would be more quiet and forested. There were no trees on the site (#41), so no shade. Worse though: an RV nearby had their generator running (for at least 2 hours) when I returned from my hike, stopped for 30 mins, then continued running it for at least another 2 hours. I packed up and moved to a more beautiful, shaded, and quiet site (26?) that evening to get away from the noise.

For the first time we had a really poor experience at this campground. (We have been camping at this campground for over 10 years) One site had more than the 8 people that were allowed, this meant the site was over crowded and very loud.

This is a beautiful area and not too crowded at the height of summer. There are bear boxes at each site and several trash bins, water dispensers and very clean bathrooms. However, there was background noise the entire time from two nearby highways and people running their generators all night. There was also lots of trash at our site, including multiple paper handouts on the ground for reviews of the campsite. We were also disappointed by the lack of trees at our spot, relative to the nice sites around us. We reserved online in advance and could not see photos of the sites.

This was a nice place. Off the Highway, so we didnt hear any cars drive by. The restrooms were exceptionally clean and even smelled good. We had little to no cell service at our campsite, but could walk to an area that did have a little service.

Firewood a little pricey at $9.00 a bundle - Latrines were very clean, not smelly, very few bugs.
