When we arrived at Rainbow campground we were greeted by a very friendly lady at the check in booth. Unfortunately, we were immediately reprimanded by a man with a grey beard and glasses standing in the booth that "we better slow down and he knows we were going a lot faster than 10MPH". He continued to tell us in a very unfriendly manner that the speed limit in the park is always 10MPH. Coming into the park there are no posted speed limit signs. My husband was a truck driver for 50 years and he doesn't drive carelessly.The only speed limit sign is about 100 ft. past the check in booth. After this encounter my husband actually had to go faster than he normally does in order to maintain his speed at 10MPH, just so he wouldn't get in trouble again. The campground is beautiful and well maintained but that man should not work in a hospitality field.

We enjoyed this campground. It’s private and wooded. It would be nice if you could see the lake and access the lake without driving, but it is just a 5 minute drive away.
The only thing lacking were showers. There is a shower house you can drive to that costs $9 (but I must say it was the best $9 I’ve spent in a long time!)

The camp hosts were very friendly and the campsites were clean.
