Always a nice stay. Please note that as of July 2020 the showers remain turned off. For those who have never been to this campground, there are 3 male toilets and 3 female toilets per unit. Of those three, two have showers included (the shower and flush toilet are in the same room). The water the water to the showers is shut off due to Covid...not sure of the rational for that, but at least the flush toilets are usable. Cell reception iffy / non existent throughout Big Lake area, but as you exit Apache Trout Campground, you can pick up enough reception at the 4-5 large rocks next to the stop sign. Decent signal for texts and you can make a call (Verizon). Nice/friendly folks at the bait shop/store. They have ice for $3.50/per bag (10 lb bag). They have decent selection of food, camping items, minor car products, sweets/treats, and of course bait, lures, various fishing items. Out-of-state fishing licence was $58 for a year...I believe it was $23 for a day. They do charge $3 for any credit/debit purchase, so bring cash or buy all you require in one purchase.
