Campground and restrooms are always clean. They have cut down a lot of trees since we were there last year. That was a surprise but still perfect.

Wonderful campground! This is one of our favorite places to cool off during the Arizona summer. Tucked in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest near Big Lake, it's peaceful, scenic, and full of tall pines and aspens. There are a lot of downed trees, but we were happy to see new ones being planted.The campground is clean and well maintained. Restrooms were tidy, and the showers were adequatenothing fancy, but they got the job done. Campsites are spacious with plenty of room for trailers or RVs. Picnic tables, fire rings, and hookups were all in good shape.The camp hosts were fabulous. Friendly, helpful, and clearly proud of the campground. Their presence made the experience feel even more inviting.

I go every year and every year it is excellent. The campgrounds are always clean and the camp hosts are so kind and helpful. I would recommend this campground to everyone.

The camp hosts are kind and helpful. The grounds are well maintained and kept clean. Being able to buy ice at the campground is a plus. Having hot water to wash dishes in a dedicated sink is convenient. Having a shower is also great. The bathrooms are cleaned daily, however, the showers could use a really deep cleaning. Often, the same clumps of hair would be there for multiple days, and the shower walls need a good scrubbing.

The campsite was spacious but there was not much shade. It looked like larger trees had been taken out and seedlings were planted instead. The campground was very nice overall. Clean and quiet. Bathroom and shower facilities were also clean and well kept. The lake was a short drive away.

All the wonderful trees have been cut down, sites are now transparent to each other, the magic of feeling your deep in the woods for kids is gone. New seedlings were planted, but better to return years from now an enjoy with another generation. Restroom/ showers werent work and they the ones that were get closed early! It would be nice to leave them open till at least dusk.

Its a great campground aside from the fact that over 500 trees have been removed due to disease. The only negative was a site across from us had 6 dogs that constantly barked every time someone walked by with another dog. I think there should be a cap on the amount of dogs allowed at one camp sight.

Apache Trout Campground is a great place to stay! We go 2-3 times a year for a two week stay. We go fishing at Big Lake, West & East Fork River (all close to campground). We go kayaking at lake and bike riding around the campground! Camp Hosts are friendly, they keep the campground well managed and keep bathrooms clean. There is also lots of wildlife to see and the weather is just right! Definitely recommend Apache Trout Campground for anyone who loves nature & the outdoors!

Couldn't get the reservation for the entire week, so we had to move. All the showers were not operational, due to the recent fires, I'm assuming. Overall, good experience at this campground.

I love this campground and area! The camp hosts are super friendly and very accommodating. We stayed in the Fir Group area, and it was really nice having the ramada with showers / bathrooms close by. I would definitely recommend this to any group and family/friend stay.

Due to a fire nearby our electricity was shut off & no water,and the weather was really windy so couldn't just sit outside and enjoy either. Left a day early. The campground is very lovely, camp hosts were awesome. And we always love fishing at Big Lake nearby.

I just wish the 3 camp hosts would not light up their camp sites like NYC. All night...

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
