Hosts were great. But...the heavy equipment woek being done in the campground area was horrible. Waking up at 530 am to thr beeping of the dump truck and other heavy equipment was not pleasant or restful. THERE SHOULD have been information posted regarding the work being done in the woods canyon area.

Gorgeous place, truly beautiful. We saw eagles!! The lake was truly amazing! It was so nice walking on the trails. It was so nice to go kayaking!! The campfire ( kept inside our rings) was magical. We saw so much wildlife!! And it wasn’t close to the road, which is nice. I enjoyed my stay. One thing I would change; camping tents are all together with the RVs and RV trailers with their generators, their loud equipment, etc. one of the RVs bathrooms smelled more than the actual park toilets. I would separate these into different sections. I would also not allow kids with electric motorbikes go around and through the camps 100 times every day.

One of the most beautiful, peaceful, and cleanest campsites I have ever been to. Camp host Linda was a pleasure to have nearby. She was caring and very helpful. Stayed a whole week, and the entire time was outstanding! Lake side camping, bird watching, fishing, hiking along the Spillway-all of it was absolutely amazing. My favorite spot to go for sure😀

One group near our site had about 20 people partying and playing music loudly past 1:00 am. That's not what I want in a campsite. I finally went over and asked them to quiet down; they did. The next day the camp supervisors informed us we were supposed to contact them an not those who are being inconsiderate. Anyhow, my 3 year old grandson wasn't that keen on camping, anyhow, so we headed back to Phoenix a day early. Otherwise, we had fun. Visited other lakes, etc. Nevertheless it does seem the whole area was over used. Too many people. I guess that's what an accessible campground 100 miles from a city of 2.5 million yields. Oh, for those days of youth when only the adventurous with a tent and back pack took to the mountains. I can still pack in a way, I suppose, but my or my, has the ground gotten hard.
