We've been to Aspen campgrounds a few times , we really like it there, and the whole Mogollon Rim area. Had some friends stay there also, they really like the area as well. Hearing wild life, Elk calling , coyotes howling, owls hooting. Pretty quite for the most part. Depends on the time of year. We like the fall time , or just to cool down from the valley heat. Friendly camp host staff. Just enjoying the outdoors ..

Site 17 is amazing so much room. I wish one of the big rocks wasnt by our door of our trailer but other than that loved the site.

Disappointed they have cut off all the facuets so a hose cannot be hooked up to fill our travel trailer with water. It was always a plus to get water at Aspen. Also hardly see any hosts go by. First time when we got there site didn't look raked like normal. Burnt firewood in ring.

Clean campground with friendly hosts. Walking distance to lake with paved trails for the kids to bike ride. Overall great experience!

This was one of the most enjoyable trips as the campground was not full. One disappointment is that camp maps are no longer handed out as you come in. The people behind us checking in had never been to the campground before and had no idea where to go. We gave them directions. I cannot imagine being there the first time with NO map. Really, how much does ink cost? All the doors to the restrooms were propped open? The restrooms use to be very clean. Hopefully with the new management that will not change.

Love this campground. Hosts are so good, easy check in, very helpful and friendly. The campers are definitely a challenge as they party a lot and have lots of screaming kids, but not the campground problem. Cannot get away from stupid!

Campsites are kept very clean. Do not need to use public restrooms, but I know they are cleaning them all the time. Check in was fast and the hosts are very helpful and friendly.
