We were happy to get a reservation on short notice. It was a wonderful time! The campground was busy (early October) so it wasn't very quiet if that's what you're looking for, but we enjoyed the lively atmosphere. Tons of families with dogs and everyone was so friendly. The camp sites are so spacious with plenty of shade. The lake nearby was busy on the weekend, but there's plenty of space to get away!

We had a great experience. We bought some firewood and built a fire. Took a few hikes and our location was quiet. I mean quiet as no motors running at night or no one yelling. I recommend this site.

Camp site was close to the water faucet and the bathroom. Big campsite and the neighbors were far enough to enjoy the peace.

The campground was always kept quite clean. The hosts did a great job in keeping the bathrooms clean and in cleaning up the campsites after folks left the campground. My only complaint is that the lake area was SO crowded on the weekend days. Incredibly crowded, and people were so rude and messy - stringing up hammocks by the trail, setting up Easy-Ups and blocking the path, leaving garbage laying around, etc. We've been going up to Woods Canyon Lake since the 80's, and these last few years have really seen a surge in people up in the area. If they were not such pigs with loud music at the lake, it wouldn't be so bad. But there is probably nothing the campground or rangers can do about them. At least the campground was kept clean and people were respectful with their music, generators and ATV-like toys. We will be back next year!
