The campground was excellently maintained (just a few rocks-but to be expected, so bring a shovel), the bathrooms kept clean, and the staff were all very nice & friendly. The campground manager (if I recall correctly his name was Harry) even helped us unlock our truck when we were locked out (super nice guy). Extremely nice people and very helpful. The surrounding area was absolutely gorgeous and so peaceful, it made our trip and hikes fantastic. We cant wait to go back again.

Camped one night with kids. We did some fishing, hiking around the lake. Will return again.

At Aspen campground there is ample space between the camp sites, and lots of tall trees. No hookups, but water is available at several points. Public restrooms are the "vault" type (no flushing) but are well kept. No showers. The dump site charges $7 and is located a short drive away from the campground. Camp sites are back-in at angles closer to 45 than 90 degrees, located along the one=way loops. Unfortunately, this means half the sites must be backed into on the passenger side rather than on the much easier driver side of your tow vehicle. Before you select a site for your booking online, you might want to choose it to be in the easier 50%. Be aware that sites vary widely in length, so look up the details before you choose a site.

The campsite was really dusty. Pea gravel or something should be used in the site to keep down the dust. By Sunday the bathrooms were nasty smelling and full of flies.
