It was ok, the camping spots are super super close together. Not enough trees or bushes to separate you from others. I heard the man cleaning the Porta potties cussing and yelling with the other lady he was working with super unprofessional. 45$ for 1 night is expensive for what you get here. I probably won't be returning. I'll go to another camp site in the area instead

We love the campground this is the 2nd time this year staying there. We've been coming up for the past 3 years now and staying at Aspen. My issue the past couple of years are the Crows/Black Birds. They started screaming at the crack of dawn and it is impossible to sleep. It is the most disturbing sound I have ever heard. There needs to be a relocation program or something needs to be done with them. It was not pleasant being woke up at 4-4:30 am.

Just a fair warning about this campsite. Its patrolled by a very aggressive camp host, who will constantly confront, threaten and in general make your time there tense. My family has camped all over AZ at various campgrounds and this by far was the most harassed we have ever felt. For instance, parking your UTV facing towards your campsite is not allowed. The camp host would to come to our RV door and yell into our camper that it needed to be backed in. Very intrusive. When you are backing into your spot he will hover over you and make sure you dont block the road too long. He confronted my wife while she was out walking and asked if she had the ticket that was given upon entering the campground. She didnt have it because it was in our truck. He then asked if she would take a lie detector test to prove she was staying at the campground. Very creepy and unnecessary. He will also will confront you about wearing helmets in your UTV. I drove my kids around, ages 12 & 10 slowly through the campsite and was confronted by the camp host saying they needed helmets. He threatened to call the sheriff if we didnt have helmets the next time. Again - completely over the top and confrontational. Also keep in mind that particular camp host will approach you, without social distancing, without a mask, constantly. And as I mentioned he will come into your campsite to confront you about very minor rules. If your looking for a peaceful, relaxing get away this is not the place. I have never posted a bad review for a campground ever. But this one particular host ruined our time there and I wanted to make sure people are aware before booking.
