It was a great trip. People at the lodge were friendly and accommodating. We got to our area and it was perfectly clean and well mantained. Bathrooms in excellent condition. Will definitely be back with my family!

Very well-maintained campground with some good views and plenty of shady sites. The hiking trail that encircles the park is a terrific bonus as well!

This place is gorgeous, well maintained, and has some of the most friendly camp hosts I've met. Be forewarned that if you have a larger trailer (28' Airstream here), the lower loops around site 114 get VERY VERY tight and may rash your tires as you go around the corner. Tight spaces for trailers and limited to no parking if you're total length doesn't fit in the space.

Camp hosts are very friendly. Please don't do stupid things, they know. It's quiet during my stay. Plenty of space among most sites. It's at high elevation, much cooler than the valley.

Yellow jackets in the Zuni area! Decent campground, with running water and pit toilets. A lodge nearby to get firewood and food. Some music from a neighboring camp when we went

Love this campsite! Great for mountain bikers. There's a single track trail right in the camp. Sites are large and spread out. You never feel cramped. Tons of dead wood laying around so you don't have to pay for firewood. Bar/grill, small market, and disc golf nearby. Great gravel riding nearby too, to Blue Ridge, starting at Inspiration Point, take the forest service road going east.

Great campsite!

Great campground. Campsite layout is very thoughtful and offered ample space between the sites. Bathrooms were pretty clean and trash cans were placed at the beginning of the loops for convenience and ease. We had a small hking trail along the back of our campsite and a good view of the valley. Overall this is one of my favorite spots in SoCal. Fire: Campground had a NO FIRE policy while we were there so we went into the small town and grabbed already cooked food from the deli (even propane stoves were a no-no when we went). Fire policy was in place during Aug. when the fire hazard was "extreme" so I had no problem with the policy. All the other campsites also followed the rules so I assume enforcement of the policy was happening, but nobody ever stopped by. Flora and Fauna: We saw a deer, skunk and lots of birds. The campground has a good variety of trees and offers nice shade in most of the sites we saw. Our site had an acorn tree which had cute little acorns everywhere. We also had some wildflowers along the back of the site that were nice to look at. Overall this was a nice departure from some of the other campgrounds that are around Los Angeles. Star watching: The night sky was clear when we went and we were able to see a good handful of constellations. The stars were pretty bright as the campground has very little light pollution. Getting There: We took the road in that goes through Wrightwood. The campground turn is right after the town on the right hand side, and was an easy drive up and down. The road isn't too steep or have too many curves. As someone can get car sick, this road was fantastic and an ease compared to other mountain roads. * We went tent camping and did not drive anything larger than a compact SUV up.*

We added this campground to our list years ago and were so happy to be able to visit in July. The camp host was very nice, and we'll consider coming back in the future.

Amazing place. Very pretty, peaceful, and relaxing. Bathrooms were kept clean, water available, but no showers. Definitely would go back.

We liked the campground. We liked out campsite. We did walk over with our campchairs and sit at a nearby campsite where the afternoon shade was better. The restrooms were pretty smelly and full of flies, but maybe that's just how it is. I wish there was a sign board or flyer/handout with a list of hikes from the campground and that the trailheads to them were better marked too. It would have been nice to explore directly from the campground if there are nearby trails and things to see. We drove a few miles and had a good time doing that. We also liked the nearby businesses, and having directions to those would have been a good thing - either signage or some handout/flyer available.

Nice campground that's close but feels like you are far from everything when you are there. Very big sites and quite.
