We have always enjoyed camping at Millers Ferry but were disappointed this trip. It was evident the grass had not been cut in a while. It was up to our knees. And we couldnt use the showers or laundry room because of the ants. And it wasnt a few crawling around, it was hundreds. And I promise thats not an exaggeration. We took one step in the laundry room and got covered immediately. Weve been several times but this was the first time we brought our grandkids. So we were extremely disappointed in the condition things were in. And Millers Ferry is such a pretty place and one of our favorites. And the hosts have always been friendly and helpful. I would hate to see it go down with these kind of conditions.

The camp ground is very nice. Each site is large enough for your camper, boat and 2 vehicles. We had a very nice water view. The downfall is that there is no sewer hookup which is a huge inconvenience if you have a small holding tank. They do have a sewage dump but unless you bring a portable tank you will have to unhook and pull camper to discharge sewage and then you have to reset up everything. There are two bath houses and one of which I refused to use. It was very old and run down. It was not the cleanest bathroom and it was extremely hot. The other was clean clean but needed a huge upgrade.

Ants are terrible!! Grass needs cutting and weed eating needs to be done around sites. Some grass was cut but no weed eating at all!!! Someone really needs supervision over the yard maintenance crew. River bank getting so overgrown you can barely see the water! With a little work this could be the best park around!
