Love this campground, been camping here every football weekend for years. Great and friendly staff, keep the grounds and restrooms clean and in great shape. Only bummer this fall has been the trees that are down due to storms last summer, causing the campground to close while the roads and campsites were cleared. Once reopened, the downed trees lining the roads did not detract from camping at all. Walking trail close due to tress still blocking it. Hoping that they get to do more clearing in this offseason. This is a great campground, close to Tuscaloosa with lots to do and see!

I like that the sites are spaced out and not to close to each other. Best of all is when its night its dark and a campfire Is the only light.

Peaceful and quiet. Camp hosts worked very diligently to clear sites after storm took down many trees. They love their park and it shows. Looking forward to seeing you again.

Hosts were so nice to work with! Were always just passing thru when we stay there but it is so beautiful and quiet there, were gonna stay a while one day.

For those that want to walk a trail but need level ground, Deerlick Creek has a paved very easy one mile (or less) trail that winds among the trees. Showers were very clean and had so much pressure. Our site was very clean with the leaves blown off too (hard to do when leaves are continually falling). Very quite, peaceful, with beautiful scenery. Sit on one of two docks and watch the water activities (barges, a fisherman here or there, or the sunrise/sunset). If you like geocaching, there are over 50 within a couple miles of the park, spaced about 500 feet apart. Visit Holt Dam, after geocaching. I understand that there is a waterfall nearby, but we will have to save that for next time. Very nice campground!!

Regular camper at this site. Clean and quiet Only negative is no septic equipped sites If you stay long you need a honey wagon all sites are shady and surfaced. Satellite tv reception is limited unless you have a portable dish that you can set in precise spot but we will be there again

So clean and such friendly workers. A little bit difficult to get to due to route and traffic concerns, but not insurmountable. Probably not the place for an overnighter, but definitely great for 3+ nights. Large sites with fire pits and tables. Very forested. We stayed 4 nights in a 36' motorhome. Had a pull thru site. Nearest grocery and gas about 25 minutes away.

Campground is nicely laid out and the sites are very private. The grounds and facilities are well kept and clean. The hosts are very friendly and always appear available if help is needed. The free firewood is a much appreciated bonus and really enhanced our experience.

It’s a little bit off the beaten path (like 20 minutes from the highway) but it is worth it. Great level sites. We had a pull through. Too bad we could only stay one night!
