Beautiful, clean campground along the river with level, nicely spaced campsites and some walking trails. Every campsite had a sturdy picnic table, grill and small utility table. Next time we stay we'll try to get a site along the river where they have a little deck overlooking the water.

The Park Attendant was most helpful in getting us to our site after dark. Without her help it would have taken us much longer to find our site. It was a long and stressful travel day and this help was more than appreciated. As a side note Site 23 should not be rated for an 80 foot unit. Our rig is only a 37 foot Motorhome, and it was difficult to get it into the center position.

What a pretty location. Site was marked with a reserved tag. It was a drive-thru site, very easy to pull into, water and electric hookups easy to hook up too and dumpstation easy to use on the way out. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We stayed at Deerlick for parent’s weekend at the University of Alabama. It will not be our last visit to the camp. It is a beautiful location. We walked most of the campground, and admired the views of the lake from many of the sites. We biked some of the park as well, but the elevation changes prove to be a very difficult ride. The workers at the front were so friendly and we saw them checking on things quite often. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

The campground was clean. The hosts were very accommodating and friendly. The views in the fall with the leaves changing are beautiful. We enjoyed the paved walking trails, the fire pit at our site, and seeing all the deer while we were there. Its quite a drive in to town so bring what you will need with you and you wont have the hassle of leaving. You wont want to leave such a great campground once youre there anyway. There is no sewer hookup at the sites but there is a dump station to use when leaving and it worked as it should. We stayed in site #23 in our 35 long fifth wheel. Its a pull thru site but you have to be careful and maneuver your rig a certain way to allow room for the slide. Slow and steady will get the job done. We loved our camping trip to Deerlick and we will return in the future

Upon my arrival I was greeted by a very pleasant attendant at the gate-house. Directions were clear and she even pointed out the location of free firewood. I found that my site was clean and the amazing part was that the site (where the trailer would sit) was level. Placement of the electric and water was convenient. The grill, firepit and table were all clean.A very pleasant overnight visit. I will look forward to returning to Deerlick Creek!

The camping sites at Deer Lick Creek were the best maintained sites that weve ever seen. The camp hosts had cut firewood for everyone in the park and made it available to everyone without charge. The pads were concrete, level, spacious, and scenic. The sites that overlooked the lake had railed decks to sit on that were well maintained. Each site had a fire pit, an elevated charcoal cooker, and a wooden box to sit an outdoor cooker on of some kind or anything else a camper might want to use it for. Im from Arkansas and this is the nicest Corp or Engineers park that Ive ever visited.
