One of my favorite campgrounds anywhere. Friendly and helpful staff, clean restrooms, and great well-maintained sites. They have just reopened after storms downed trees earlier this year. Grandkids had a great time playing on the playground. Walking trail is not accessible right now, nor is the beach. Unstandable given the amount of damage that was done. Will take some time to get everything back open and clear, however great job was done in getting the campground back open. Even with downed trees along the side of roads, it is a great place to camp. Highly recommended

We were surprised by the view from site 18. The park was really clean and the spots were spread out. This was a stop for us when traveling through, but will be the destination on a future trip.

Large sites pretty well separate from each other. All roads and campsites paved each with adjoining tent pad/large deck with picnic table. Restrooms and.showers clean and operational.
Quiet, shaded with good connectivity.
A pleasant stay , but being so close to Tuscaloosa can get crowded.

We love this park! It’s so beautiful here the sites are big and you have privacy, which is something we really like. Everyone that works here is really great! The free firewood is really awesome too!

Beautiful campground. Only fault - need more access to shoreline fishing or boat rental.

Always a pleasure to visit Deerlick. Plenty of shade, nice level sites, and the hosts are there if there is a problem. Hosts are friendly and don't mind saying hello, following up with "if there is anything we can do", makes a camper feel right at home and welcome.

Very clean and peaceful, with plenty to do. We tent camped in #18. It was a nice spot for a tent at the end of the road before the turn-around loop. The deck was nice but you could barely see the water through trees, but they also give some privacy from the boaters below. No big deal for us, but just FYI if you are hoping to enjoy a view of the water.
Plenty of room for a large tent, privacy tent, and suv. We parked our truck in the extra spots on the loop but could have made it fit if we had to. The kids were able to ride their bikes around the loop safely. There is one trail at the back of this loop that wraps around the perimeter of the campground and to 3 fishing piers. It was a fun hike, but definitely narrow with steep drop offs & inclines—be careful with little ones on it.
We enjoyed the swimming hole. Steep walk to and from. There was never more than 1 other family there so it was fine, but it isn’t very big. I could see it being crowded in the summers. The bathhouse was very clean with hot water. No play ground but there was a ball court and cornhole boards. Next time, we’ll book in the tent-only spots or closer to the front of the campground. It was a long walk from #18. We didn’t get to go on the paved trails but are hoping to next time. They looked nice from the road. We will definitely come back!

Hosts were attentive and hard working. Campsites have tremendous views. The Beech Tree Hollow trail is exceptional. Many old growth beech, Virginia pines, and white oak tress in a beautiful stream valley. Shower facilities clean and reasonably large.
