The campsites are very clean with paved pads that are level from side to side. Campground hosts were efficient but not real friendly. I wish there were sewer hook ups at the sites. The campground is a considerable distance off of the Interstate and are not the best for overnight stops.

i would say more of a destination than an overnight stay ,as it was quite a bit off the main roads. we were traveling after dark and thankfully did not lost our cell coverage trying to find the place...

had a water front site, loved watching the tugs and barges go down the river. peacefull and pier fishing was fun. no boat needed

This is a beautiful place! We were only here overnight, but, wished it was for a few days. Came here in the dark and woke up to such beautiful fall colors overlooking beautiful waterfront. Be prepared to have adequate gas, food, and supplies as this is a long way from restocking and takes a long way time to do so and you will miss out on this experience.

Enjoyed our stay. Clean restrooms and showers with plenty of hot water. Our site was on the water where we could sit and watch barges going by. Camp host were helpful with any questions or concerns. There is NO cell service at the campground. However, we are definitely planning to return.

Just a relaxing getaway. Absolutely no cell reception (Verizon) which was wonderful. All spots on the water look great. The area is very well kept, and each site has more than normal space for the fire pit, table, and whatever you want to setup. There are fewer sites than most campgrounds Ive been to, so its quieter and more low key. This is probably my favorite campground.

#8 is one of my favorite spots. For every trip we take it seems we always end up here several times a year. The views on 1-8 are great and the other sites are great too, these are just the best.

We love camping here. We live in Bham and the drive only takes us about 45 minutes. We love the privacy we have when we go. It's like know one else is there. And our 4 legged children love it as well. We go as often as we possibly can. It's our home away from home.
