This is a nice place to camp. But you need to bring your own fun as there are not trails or other activities. Also, they say dont transport firewood on the website, well you need to bring your own firewood. As there is no camp store and no place to buy firewood within 20 miles of the campsite.

Our spot , site 5 on the river was amazing it was pretty much what I would want a cabin on the river to look like. We were there only a couple of days but want to come again with friends.

The campground is way off the beaten path so it adds a bit of time and miles if you are just passing through. We had a campsite by the river which was nice. The non river sites also looked very nice. A barge came by in the late evening which was kind of cool but loud and with bright lights. We also saw an otter swimming along the river.

Our campsite was #5. We had a great view at the lake Holt. It was very peaceful and quiet. There was no cellular service but we had a tv channel to check on the weather situation. The bathroom was nice, clean and warm. The camp host made sure we had a good time.

We had no Wi-Fi ate phone service at all that made me a little if something happened to one of us . It is a beautiful park we never saw anyone at the gate thank goodness we call to get the gate code and our lot number.

The campground host was Excellent, helping me back into a difficult spot. The bathhouse was the most beautiful outside and in that I have ever seen - ACE designed? The only caveat is that no cell service is an understatement. For first time ever got a SOS only message! But 1-2 miles out you can get a signal.

Nice campground if you want to do nothing. Or, if you want to do what we did, which was use this campground as a place to decompress and clean up our camper after a 7-week road trip. No cell service, fyi. Not that we needed it, but not comfortable being unreachable by family.

Beautiful park, large camp sites. Only recommendation is on the lake sites that the logs and branches in the water be removed. Enjoyed our stay!

Nice, quiet and spacious. Sites 2,3,7 are backwards and door opens away from river. Friendly hosts, river loop and wooded loop. Lots of turtle as well.

This location is for anyone who would just like to get away from it all. We stayed on one of the waterfront lots and it was amazingly beautiful and peaceful. The sunsets were gorgeous! Fishing from your lot is a little difficult because of brush limbs etc. that’s in the water, but their is a pier within comfortable walking distance. There are actually two sections to the park. The other section is non waterfront, but just as beautiful because of a small stream that runs through it. The lots are spacious compared to other places we have been. And Tuscaloosa and Birmingham are within driving distance to experience some good foods. Nothing is available close by for out to eat, so take everything you need for a pleasant stay. We will definitely return again!

This is a hidden Gem! We were along the river and it was beautiful. The campsites in the wooded area are very beautiful also. It is a drive to get to, but worth it. Bring your fishing boat or canoe. There is a beach there. It was too cold for us to swim. The foggy mornings on the river were absolutely gorgeous! Either bring your own firewood or be prepaired to hunt for it. There is none for sale at the park. I saw tons of turtles and even an otter swims along the shore. There is no cell phone service in the park. The front host does have a satellite phone for emergencies.

If you want a great quite place off the beaten path, this is the place to visit. The hosts of this park are the friendliest people you will ever meet. Make sure to bring all your camping needs , its about 30 minute drive to nearest store and one hour drive to town. Camp site very nice paved. Playground, sandy beach swimming. You will not have any cell service here, plan on plenty of pease and quiet, fishing, biking, swimming, hiking, and wildlife watching. We will definitely visit this park again

Lovely campground. Peaceful and facilities were clean. Only negative is the litter in the lake and on the country roads outside the park.
