We enjoyed this park due to the boardwalk and being on the river to watch the barges - sites 126 and those below 123 seem to have sewer connection - 124 does not and has a big up heave in the concrete so if you are low don't get that one - shady spots along the river are 112 to 136 - We stayed in 124 and 135 while there - sunny spots would be 111 down.

This is a beautiful peaceful place to camp with polite nice hosts.

Pretty basic. Restroom was in a mess. Park manager was very nice and informative about the town and places to eat and go.

Great place to camp. Clean campsites, most have nice shade trees.

I love this campground. I stay there at least twice a year if I can to visit my aunt Carrollton.

No ice. At boat launch pad, you can't approach the dock in your boat due to big rocks; have to pull over to the right of area in the grass. The day use swimming area is still closed. Only one playground area in entire campground. Bath houses not equipped with fans. No laundry facilities and the two local laundromats are closed, but there is a real nice laundromat in nearby Aliceville. Dumping station water supply needs repairs.

Another great trip to Pickensville COE. Park is one of our favorites. Always enjoyable to have a river site to be able to view the passing barges.
