Pickensville Campground is a hidden gem for anyone looking to enjoy peaceful days on the water and some good old-fashioned outdoor fun. Nestled along the Tennessee-Tombigbee Waterway, one of the best parts of staying here is sitting under the shade trees and watching the big riverboats roll by its relaxing and mesmerizing, especially in the evening light. The campground itself is clean, quiet, and well-maintained. Sites are spacious with plenty of natural shade, making it comfortable even on warmer days. Its a great spot for families, couples, or solo campers who just want to unplug and enjoy nature.Bike riding around the park is another favorite. The roads are smooth and low-traffic, perfect for a peaceful morning ride or an evening cruise as the sun goes down.Whether youre there for a weekend or a longer stay, Pickensville offers a little slice of riverside heaven. Bring your camera, your bike, and your love for the water you wont be disappointed.

It's a great camp ground ... however this time there was no one at the front entrance the entirety of our stay. We were never checked in. This was the same experience of all of the campers around us. There were several times that random people were in the camp ground just riding around, like a large group of motorcycles.Just not the norm for other camp grounds we've been to, and will definitely will play a part in visiting there in the future.

Always get site 123 next to the Tombigee River. Can't wait for next year. If any of you are "birders" I located over 50 different species of birds while we were here

Nice campground, roomy sites, and the gatekeeper was so friendly and helpful. Just a pleasure!
