I visit the lake at least once a week! I love walking around the lake and on the trails inside the"No Hunting" area. Be aware that there is an Entrance to the Noxubee Hills Trail system it is marked and you have to wear your "Orange Blaze" to hike that area during hunting season. It's always clean quiet and peaceful.

This park 30 years ago was very good. But now it seems to be mismanaged. Many host have left or are leaving soon. The laundry facilities are open only to the host and employees. Not the guest! The fish cleaning stations are closed. Bathhouse is fairly clean but could improve. The response to issues is lackluster. Its sad to see this beautiful place going to ruin.
