Spacious campsites. Quiet and relaxed atmosphere. Bath/shower facilities need updating and outdoor lighting was out (blown light bulbs)

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were clean and my campsites were level. There seemed to be some big potholes that I found when riding my bike, but otherwise definitely a place I will come back to.

This is a beautiful campground. We stayed in the Catoma loop. Sites are paved, well maintained and nicely spaced. There are some walking trails and its a great place for riding a bike. Nice restrooms, showers and laundry. Only about 15-20 min to Montgomery or Prattville

when I arrived there to check in, they had no power. Was told my money would be refunded, but I still havent gotten a refund.

Had perfect spot due to had handicap with me. Woke to pretty sunrise only complaint had was there was trash washed to shoreline but in spot could not get down to. Spot itself was clean. Rained and wind so some leaves blew into shower area. Would stay again. Was just a one night stay. Very friendly host.

This is a lovely campground. Its very quiet with spacious sites. The check in staff were very friendly.

Site was level, large & a rarity with full hookups! Thrilled to stay here! The only issue was the pesky bugs, which we were warned of in previous reviews. We applied repellent quickly & had no problems afterwards!

Wonderful site backed up to lake. The main bathhouse great, air conditioned and good humidity control. Secondary bathhouse right across from us not so nice. Hot, humid and almost no ventilation.

This was our first time at Gunter Hill. Enjoyed being backed up to the Alabama River And we enjoyed the woodland setting. It was very quiet and peaceful. Plan on doing this again.

We loved our campsite and our nephew enjoyed the playground. The facility is clean and the grounds are well kept. The fishing area is too small/tiny and difficult to cast. We were looking forward to fishing but really couldn’t even though our site was by the water. The water was up against a steep incline that is hazardous for young children. We fished at Cooters Pond off the docks but again no shore fishing options. The heat and humidity is difficult but our ac kept up nicely but the condensation from the unit dripped a lot. We went to the car races and had a good time.

We spent our 38th anniversary week here and loved it. We enjoyed biking, fishing and sitting around the campfire picking the guitar and singing. We will definitely be back.

This is a hidden gem. We stayed in the Catoma loop (1-75). The sites are paved and have sewer connections. All the sites are long and the pull-thrus look easy to negotiate. Bath house was clean. Not a lot to do there but you can fish, walk and ride bikes. Kids playground looks nice. It was very quiet and peaceful next to the river.
