Very nice park. The sites are spacious and private.

This was probably the nicest CoE park we have stayed in. The sites were all concrete and most were really long. That with full hookups and many with creek/lake views made the park one of the best. When we were there they even offered free laundry, but I think that option will end soon since people are abusing the machines. There were 2 washers and 2 dryers that worked great when we arrived, but by the time we left one of the washers would fill with water, but not do anything else. We heard rumors that someone had overloaded the machines really badly and effectively broke one of them. So sad. If all you want to do is enjoy the park, this is a nice place to do just that.

Gunter Hill is a gem. Picturesque, peaceful, and HUGE campsites. Being in close proximity to Montgomery, the cell coverage is excellent. Very friendly, helpful hosts. The only blip on the radar is the lack of hiking trails. Otherwise, two big thumbs up.

Outstanding! We are frequent users of USACE CG's all over the country. This is perhaps the best one we have ever seen. Spacious sites, nice facilities, friendly staff, convenient location for spending time in Montgomery. All good!

Gunter Hill was excellent. I had full hookups. The campground office staff was very helpful and friendly. The park is very clean and well maintained. Thanks Alabama.

Lots of trees and plenty of space between lots. Bathrooms are very clean. Everyone is super nice. Going back in May.

This is a great park. We camped at site 31. The main bathhouse on the Catoma side is very nice, always clean, warm, with good lighting. Hallelujah, there are a couple of washers and dryers. We enjoyed walking and riding bikes. Prattville is very close by with plenty of shopping, restaurants, as well as medical facilities. Montgomery is close by too although traffic is a headache at certain times. If you enjoy casinos or golf too, checks the boxes too. I am looking forward to fishing in April and plan to bring my boat.

I’d rather give this info to someone at ACOE to correct the issues. The park is unkept, the grass needs cutting, the bath houses need repair, the walkway between Antioch and Catoma is DANGEROUS! The park has been left in the hands of park hosts who do nothing more than sit in the gatehouse. I’ve been to other ACOE parks and was totally taken aback by the lack of care at Gunter Hill. If someone knows how to contact ACOE about this situation I’d love to hear it.

Had a two weeks of rain prior to this trip, assuming that why we had a slight septic smell. Not really bad but it hit you several times during the day.

The bathhouses could be renovated

This campground is a gem. We love staying in either loop, but the full hookups in the Catoma Loop really help us when we're in a time crunch on departure day. Lots of shade and great for biking around. We're so thankful that we found it.

What a great campground! Friendly staff and super clean facilities. Great place to ride bicycles. Fairly close to restaurants and I 65. This is a good spots for families.

Pros: full hook up, spacious sites, clean restrooms.

Cons: next to sewage treatment center (strong smell of sewage every evening after dark), trash in wooded area down to water and all around the water

Great rv park and staff!

The sites were roomy, not crowded. Enjoyed the large concrete parking slab. The park seemed well maintained, and was easy to access. We would definitely recommend the campground to others.
