We love this park. The sites are very spacious and plenty long enough. There are plenty of trails to hike with our dogs.

Please consider deep cleaning the bathrooms once a week. We've noticed a decline in maintenance / upkeep over the past few years. Conveniently located from 65. Good park in general.

Everyone from the sign in shack to everyone working there are very friendly and helpful. The sites are clean and looks like some of the dead trees around the sites have been cut down.

Great location. Friendly camp workers. Sewer hookup is low to the ground youll need an extension to raise it high enough. Also threads on sewer hookup are bad and would not allow adapter to thread properly.

This is a lovely site with a slight water view peeking through the trees in the winter time. The campground is very quiet and the campground employees are super nice. This was our second stay and we loved it. The FHUs were in good shape and easy to connect to.

Worst, most unusable shower 'facilities' I have seen in the entire USACE system. Despicable condition; one airless, the other blasting heat on a hot day, filthy. I didn't need a cute 'courtesy call' from the hosts while I was trying to drive to the park, I just needed a shower room fit for human use.

The BEST COE park in the system, in my opinion. Thank you Gunter Hill and staff.

Prattville is close by and has everything you need. We were cautioned by campers and locals to avoid Montgomery.Highlight of our trip was Alabama Safari. Drive thru animal park where you can feed the animals from your car. Also have walk through exhibits and feeding opportunities. We stopped at Stockyard Cafe on way back for a great burger (closes at 3).Try Uncle Mick's Cajun market downtown Prattville, Kimberlea's downtown Prattville and The Catfish House are all very good. Enjoy supporting local business.

We travel to Gunter Hill often and have always enjoyed the clean park, sites and how friendly the staff are. I appreciate seeing the Montgomery Co Sheriff Dept patrol riding thru the park several times a day.

We've stayed several times for one night at Gunter Hill, Catona Loop in winter when enroute to Florida and then for the return trip. As far as campgrounds go, this one is superb. If there were attractions nearby, we'd probably stay longer. Perfect facilities. Couldn't ask for better.
