Easy to get to, friendly staff, easy to find the site, facilities were clean and up to date, grass mowed, garbage dumpsters plentiful and not full. Why the Good Rating then? This is specific to pull-through site 51. The turn-in is so tight that the coach has to go off the driveway and the ground is wet, so about a 6 inch drop into mud until you get back on the pad. Only way to fix is the add width to the driveway. Small thing because the park is one of the best.

Gunter Hill Campground is one of our favorite stopover en route south for the winter and again north retourning home for the summer. However, the campground seems to be getting run down with recent lack of maintenance. Power towers falling apart, fire pits full with ashes, absolutly no cleanup of sites, etc.

This place is always so clean and the staff is super friendly. Love the big spacious lots and family oriented. Have stayed here several times we love it at Gunter Hill thank you guys for a job well done

Retain the PULL-THRU sites for only those in need. Noticed sites with very small units that did not warrant large PULL-THRU sites.

Gunter Hill campground is a very beautiful and spacious campground. It's clean and the staff was very friendly. We will camp here again.

We use Gunter Hill as a stop over and rest destination when traveling West. It is always clean and well maintained. The camp sites are large, enough room so you do not feel cramped. We always meet nice campers during our stay.

We had a very pleasant stay at Gunter Hill. We were on site 051. We stayed in the Catoma section, which is the newer part of the park which accommodates larger RVs. We camped in a 5th wheel. The roads are paved and the park has excellent water pressure. As I walked and rode my bike around the park, I couldn't find a bad site. I didn't use the bathhouses so I won't comment on them. Cellphone service isn't great but we didn't come here to stay connected. We went here to relax and hide for the weekend. That being said, if you plan to relax and hide and enjoy peace and quite, make sure you review the race schedule of the Montgomery Motor Speedway. https://www.montgomerymotorspeedway.org/ The speedway if very close to Gunter Hill and if you're camping on a race weekend, you're going to hear the noise and peace and quite isn't going to happen. I would definitely recommend camping here. Just check the race schedule and plan accordingly.

We enjoyed our stay at Gunter Hill Campground. We had a pull-through site on a level concrete pad, set up was easy. Plenty of room between sites for privacy. Quiet campground and plenty of room to walk through the park. The bathrooms could use a little updating but otherwise it's a great park and great value for the price. We hope to return.

Nice quiet weekend. It was our first trip to this campground. Only complaint was the small shower house and restrooms are in poor condition. The bathroom smelled like an outhouse. The large restroom and shower house was much better. I walked a trail that lead to a walking bridge to the other camping loop. The bridge was falling apart and unsafe. No barrier was up to prevent someone from getting on it. None of this detracted from our weekend. It's just bad that this nice campground is in need of a lot of maintenance and had a safety concern.

Gunter is a beautiful park. Huge concrete sites that are pretty much level. Not great cell service.

Gunter Hill is a wonderful campground. It is well kept and a quiet beautiful place to relax when we are camping. We always try to camp there on our way through the Montgomery area. If you have never been to Gunter Hill on a camping adventure I highly recommend that you try next time you are in the area

The entrance to site is not wide enough, I ran into the ditch and had to back up and pull into the site with a different angle,

They have full hook-ups, it's always clean and the people are friendly. We live close by and will go just to get away for the weekend. Have been going here for years!

Campground and campsite were nice. The only issue was the lack of signage identifying the two different camping areas.

BEST campground ever! Sites were huge, flat, easy to access. Water pressure just great. Over-all enmities superb . We will never stay anywhere else when going back to that area. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Army Corp out did itself with this campground. SIMPLY OUTSTANDING!Close to Montgomery and other area sites.
