Everything was great until the park lost power. Apparently it was due to a very old transformer that failed. The folks at the park were very nice and offered us a refund for the night without power. We love the park and we will be back! The staff are really nice and they bent over backwards to make our stay as good as possible.

Camp Hosts were courteous and helpful. Bathhouse was clean. All the RV sites in the Catoma loop are huge! Very peaceful and relaxing .

Gunter Hill is a beautiful campground. Its well maintained and the staff is very friendly. The bathhouses are clean and conveniently located. We were on a pull through in our motorhome on April 26, 2024.

Gunter Hill Campground is a great place. We have only stayed on the Catoma Loop where the sites are full hookup, concrete pads, lots of room between sites. At least one playground for the kids. Nice walking and biking in the campground.

Our second time to camp at Gunter Hill, in a pull through site. Biked all around the Catoma side of the campground. All the sites are large, giving you some privacy. The back-in water sites have ver nice views of the river, but not water access. My fisherman husband was bummed by that, because hed love to be able to fish from the bank by the camper. Bathhouses are nice and easily accessible. Nice playground with new looking equipment. Also a large pavilion with tables and a large charcoal grill. Can accommodate a large crowd. We like it there and will stay again when in the area.

Just used for a one night stop. It is located about 8-10 miles off the I-65 in Montgomery AL. Big roomy campsites. Full Hookups at all the sites we saw. Only negative was a consistent strong sulfur smell in the air.

Very spacious pull-thru sites with lots of space between sites. Park is a bit off the beaten path but thats part of its value. Stayed midweek so not many other campers and Park was very quiet. Roads well maintained. Hallmark of a CoE campground!

I have wanted to stay at this corp park for many years but it just wasn't in our schedule when we were traveling (we are full time). I was excited that finally this park was on our route. Well it did not disappoint. The asphalt roads into and out of the park are wide enough for our 46' fifth wheel and when hitched, we are in excess of 67 ft. We stayed in a great asphalt pull thru site that was over 100 ft. long with full hookups. The park is wooded, but we had no problems with any trees or low-hanging branches. We didn't get to sight-see a lot because it did rain the whole time we were there. Rest assured, we will return to Gunter Hill again and highly recommend this park to anyone who would be traveling through the area. Thank you.
