The bathrooms were very poorly maintained. The toilets were never cleaned the week we were there (both men's & women's). A few of the toilets would not flush. The toilet paper was restocked.

BRING MISQUITO SPRAY!!! Site is in total shade. It rained just before we arrived. There is also a fowl small (like sewage) off and on. Mostly on and at night. Was told that the sewage storage tanks were across the street. No view of river even though they state river front. LOTS AND LOTS OF MISQUITOS. If we return would stay on other side of the loop.

Great COE campground. The spaces are well separated. Ours had full hookups. We have small holding thanks so having a sewer hookup was perfect for us.The kids had fun at the playground. The adults enjoyed multiple trails.We will return

It would be really nice if some money was spent to provide decent water controls and shower heads, and it would be better if all the toilets would flush. I doubt a penny has been spent repairing or upgrading any of the facilities at Gunter Hill in the last 10 years.

Great camping. Catoma loop is beautiful. Peaceful during the week. The lady working at the gate house was a little intense upon arrival. We needed an extra night to wait out TS Nicole before heading to Florida and she acted like we asked her for her first born. I guess camphosting is stressful. We still loved our visit. Would definitely stay again.

I'd like it to be the best kept secret because we treasure our time here, and want to have a site available. The park is beautiful and well cared for, very large sites. The staff are always friendly. This is one of the best parks we've ever camped at.

Staff was so courteous & knowledgeable. Our reservation was right at their fingertips. Our site was easy to back into, level and scenic.

Everything was good Except the restrooms. They were not cleaned during the 4 days we spent there in Anti loop.

I have been to Gunter Hill on several occasions. Unfortunately, the individuals who vacated my reserved site (4) can only be described as pigs. They left trash all over the campsite, dumped half burned charcoal at the bases of two trees, and there was a freshly killed yellow rat snake near the picnic table. I cannot say definitively that the previous occupants did it but the snake should not have been killed.

Went in Feb 2022. Weather was good that week and was able to go on several long walks with the dog. Catoma loop and the road to the boat ramp and the surrounding area outside the gate are flat and bicycle friendly. Dollar General and a small store not too far away. Low bandwidth on t-mobile but was able to watch YouTube.tv and Amazon prime video. Nicely spaced sites and clean restrooms. With a hybrid camper left a day early to avoid severe storms that night.

We had a very relaxing one night at Gunter Hill campground. We had stayed there in the past and highly recommend the Catoma side over the Antioch.
