I love camping at Gunter Hill. Always peaceful and very nice. The workers that check you in are so nice.

It's extremely quite many shades and places to fish from hill if desired. Spoke with the c I e district manager who was on site supervising some boat dock up grades he was extremely knowledgeable about the park and info. On others near by. Staff at gate extremely polite and very knowledgeable as well. Lots really nice level pads showers and rest rooms were very clean and adequate. I will be returning.

One of our favorite campgrounds, beautiful, spacious, private shaded lots. Truly not a bad spot in the campground.

We wanted to stay here going to Florida and also on return trip. Both times the power was out and there was 10 days between the reservations!

It was mostly good. The negatives were the road needed repairs. The grass really needed to be cut and the underbrush needed to be cleaned out around the campsites. We had #24.

We had another great stay at Gunter Hill. This stay we went to Maxwell AFB for the air show with The Blue Angels. our site was 26 in the Catoma section. The site was clean when we arrived and the campgrounds were clean, quiet and beautiful as always. The bath house was clean but in need of updating. Chech in was smooth and the host was polite. We will return.

Compared to other army corp campgrounds this one could use more maintenance and pride in appearance. There were cans of trash that were obviously not dumped in weeks.

So quiet and peaceful the view from our campsite was amazing. Large and long pads.The campsite was clean and well maintained. We will be back!

Beautiful campground. Stayed in 026 Catoma and it was a really nice site. Very large; lots of space between sites. Hosts very helpful and pleasant. Will return!

I love Gunter Hill. Large sites, dependable hook-ups, and beautiful scenery. I was lucky enough to stay during Halloween. It was amazing. Hope to be back soon!

May 2023 site 26 Catoma Loop with full hookup. It’s a waterfront site. Someone made a trail to water if you want to fish. Sites 26, 27 are best waterfronts. Site 41 is great there’s a paved to gravel trail leading to water for fishing. There’s lots of poison ivy, snakes and small bearded lizards around so be mindful. No one came to do land any mowing or anything. There is No Wifi here. Usually campers lay down lights on the ground but no one did that here. We noticed solar light usage. The water pressure was good; 50 amp good but the two outlets didn’t work. Noticed a lot of senior campers here not many young adults; young kids or teenagers here during our stay probably because of no wifi 🤣🤣. The staff is great. There is a Dollar General store and B&J grocery/bait shop nearby. Campers were friendly. It’s a nice getaway if you can live without wifi🤣.

Large wooded sites with hookups and plenty of space. Bike friendly area. Good price, especially for seniors with a National Parks pass.

We stayed on a water view site. Loved the size of the sites. The pads were really long, which is rare. Loved that they had full hook up. A very quiet place with a paved path through the woods which was an excellent walk. Washers available

It was good. There is a few things that would make it better. Yall cut clean up the grass and weeds around the campsites and waters edge. Then if yall would get rid of the poison ivy that is everywhere there. Other than that it would be great.

Gunter Hill was awesome. We had site 26 right next to the river. Beautiful sunrise and sunset views. We had full hookup and full internet. Everyone was friendly. What a nice place. Thank you Recreation.Gov for another wonderful camping vacation.

We love this campground. Spacious, full hook up and feels like home. Visited twice, will not be the last. Recommend for family get away.
