This campground layout was well designed and executed. Most if not all sites are level cement pads. Bathrooms need some care but are clean. AT&T signal poor. Overall a great place to spend a few days of rest and relaxation.

Quiet, clean little campground with a nice lake. Some spots have beautiful lake views. Bathhouses ate clean. Only issue was that the bridge on the hiking path has fallen down and cuts off walking access to other part of campground.

The campground host at the gate is one of the best we have encountered. We made our reservation late on the day of arrival. He called us when he was leaving his post to tell us he had left our map and reservation cards taped to the wall. In 50 years of camping, we've never received such excellent service. Of course, Gunter Hill is a beautiful campground.

Me of the best COE parks I have been in. All sites in my section were concrete, level, with full hookups. Perhaps all sites were big rig friendly. Love this place.

We really enjoyed our site (#14) at Gunter Hill! We had a view of the water to our right! The sites were very easy to back in to. It was a very quiet and spacious campground! The people at the gate were super friendly also!

While we were there we went to the Legacy Museum in Montgomery. Very humbling experience!

This is a beautiful campground with well-maintained facilities. We stop here on our way south and back north each year just to enjoy the peace and quiet. It’s a little bit off of the beaten path, but when you arrive it is well worth the little extra time to get here. The pads for the RVs are well kept, wide, and long enough to make it very easy to come and go. Excellent job corps of engineers.
