Nice, large, quiet sites with concrete pads. We have been trailering for 6+ years and the bathrooms and showers are tiedwith one other campground for the worst we have used. The problem is that they are really old and need many repairs, doors that won't lock, drains that don't drain and deteriorating walls. Many RVs that we saw are large enough to not need to use the showers or toilets so they may not know about the issue. Surely the Army Corp. of Engineers could do better.

Electricity is perfect, no spikes. The landings are flat and easy to get into. Lots of room between sites, with trees in between for shade. The staff are like brothers...great and helpful

This campground is outstanding. Large sites with plenty of space. Multiple bathhouses. Free laundry. Beautiful views and sounds of critters out in the woods. Starlink works well at site 41 despite some obstruction.

I loved it so much!! Very well kept! Sites were far enough apart to have privacy. The bathhouses were clean and staff friendly! We will be back frequently!!

Best campsite weve ever had. Long, level concrete pad with 50A, water and sewer. Site #41 was right on cove of Alabama River. Very spacious. Family in Montgomery for a volleyball tournament. Travel trailer 34 ft.

Area was beautiful and very peaceful. Facilities were clean. We were disappointed that there were no hiking trails. The one trail they advertised was just the road through the campground. Overall, it was a great time.

The spot was beautiful, private and large. We have a 24 ft travel trailer and it was plenty big for our needs. Plenty of space for parking and great area near the water.

Very nice park, some sites on the water, and well maintained. Sites are large with long driveways and room between other sites to offer privacy.

We always enjoy our stays at Gunter Hill. This trip a severe weather alert delayed our arrival, but the staff graciously held our reservation until we could get there the next morning. Sites are always well maintained and the price for full hookups cant be beat. Thanks Army COE!

Always enjoy camping here with friends. Clean sites and very spacious. The staff at the front gate were so nice and really helpful. The staff coming around were very nice and friendly at the campsites.

Lovely park. Huge sites where we were, and at 45 with a full sized Jeep, that is really remarkable. Easy in and out! We had so much and so many trees between sites, we didnt really see our neighbors. Love this park! We would definitely return!

Very clean. Beautiful views and large sites. Pleasant staff. Bike friendly. Kid friendly - nice playground. If you get a site with full hookups on the Catoma loop, that makes everything even better. No camp store. No WiFi, and Verizon service was very weak which didn't bother us on this particular trip, but worth noting.

Best COE campground we've ever camped in. Convenient to interstate, easy entry, and wide streets. Shady, spacious lots and all have sewers in the Catoma section. We stayed four nights on site 29 on the way to Florida and three nights on site 41 coming back-both excellent. We stayed in a 36-foot fifth wheel.
