This is a beautiful, quiet park with huge spaces. Pretty sure I could LIVE there. Its convenient to Prattville, which seems to have any shopping or dining you could want.

Very nice park. Attendants are courteous and helpful. On weekends when the nearby racetrack is active - I just go over and enjoy the races! (although the noise from the track has never bothered me, it does others who have reviewed the park) Highly recommend.

Most sites were full during the 4th of July weekend but it was still very quiet. The park is in a great location. Close enough to Montgomery/Prattville but far enough from the noise/traffic. We'll be back.

We spent one night at Gunter Hill and it was fully booked according to their website. Tornadoes were going across our path home from Florida and so, we called the office asking for a site for another night until the storms passed. Barry informed us that the old section of the campground was closed due to renovations to the bathrooms. The park did not allow us to boondock at the current restroom. We had to leave. He said it's spring break and we have a race this weekend. It was Weds. He suggested we find a Walmart. We left and went to campground an hour & a half away. When we have stayed at other COE's in the spring, they have helped us out more. We did survive our trip home though.

Very well laid out campground. Easy big-rig access and large campsites.

Beautiful site, full hookup, very large level site. Site 10 overlooks the creek but is slightly steep to the water. Had one bar of 5g cell service on Verizon. Picked up several TV channels over the antenna. Site is fairly close to the bathhouse.

Loved the park. Spacious lots with plenty of privacy. Bathhouses could use an upgrade but overall very functional. We will return.

I stopped at Gunter Hill COE Campground while enroute from Detroit to Florida in December of 2023. Gunter Hill is a regular stopping spot whenever we're in the area (usually while traveling between Michigan and Florida). The park facilities are incredible. Huge sites, blacktop park roads with site approaches angled such that backing in is a piece of cake. The concrete pads are large and level, the utility hookups are "industrial" quality and perfectly located for our rig. Campground bath houses are clean ... showers are hot with plenty of water volume and water pressure. There's great retail (Publix, Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot, Best Buy, Harbor Freight, Target, Kohl's) roughly 10 miles away in Prattville - as well as lots of interesting things to see and do in downtown Montgomery. The cherry on top is the price! Being that we're retirees with the "Geezer pass" (Lifetime National Parks Senior Pass) - the already reasonable $30 nightly fee comes down to $15 a night. Gunter Hill is easily one of the nicest parks we've visited!

Great campground. We really enjoyed our stay here and we will be back. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The sites were huge and well spaced out.

We loved the park and our site was great. We were disappointed that the washer in the laundry was out of order for our two week stay. We had been traveling for a few weeks and we were counting on doing our laundry. We enjoyed the kayaking but wish there were sites you could tie up to after launching at the boat ramp. Nice to be so isolated but close to towns. At our ages(78 & 80) we would appreciate an emergency plan explained at check in just in case its necessary.

Love Gunter Hill, just wish they would clean out the underbrush by the river so the campsites on that side would be more visible. Also, would look much better if the broken limbs that have fallen off the trees were picked up.

The site was large, level, and well maintained. Our site was shady. Enjoyed having full hook-ups. There were certain times that the mosquitos were bad.

Gunter Hill COE Campground is one of the nicest parks we've ever stayed at. It offers the amenities that WE care about - large level sites easily accessed with a "big rig", 50 amp service, water and sewer. Gunter Hill COE Campground certainly delivers on those!!! As retires using the National Senior Pass - the nightly fee at Gunter Hlll COE Campground ends up costing $15.00 a night! A beautiful park - at an incredible price! What's not to absolutely love?!?

We love camping here. Its a little bit out of town but not to far. Its also beautiful and peaceful. My only complaint is the power box. The 50 amp showed low amp, and we notified staff. It would have been that big of a deal, however when we stayed on this site in December same problem, and we notified staff. Other than that its a great place!

The park is beautiful, but it could use some upgrades and cleaning in the bathrooms.
