The site was beautiful and spacious, but there was a strong septic type odor that lingered for most of our visit. Also, when doing laundry (we have stackable washer and dryer in our motorhome), we noticed a terrible odor when we removed our laundry from our washing machine. Later I filled a bucket with water and the water was discolored. The water needs to be tested and the issue corrected. The park is well laid out and clean. The park attendants were very helpful.

Level sites with plenty of privacy between the sites.

What an awesome campground! Its just beautiful! The sites are spread so far apart that you feel youre alone. Site 24 Catoma served us well. We went to Montgomery and toured a home that F Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald lived in. Also, civil rights history and even had a selfie with Rosa Parks! Went to Selma and drove over the Edmund Pettus bridge. Then over to Orrville and toured a ghost town. We had a busy few days despite the rainy weather.

This place is the best and Terry and Janet were just great. Such nice people! We were traveling through and unfortunately could only stay for one night

Wonderful large and level sites with concrete pads. Beautiful views and peaceful place to get away!

I stay here when I have to work a ton of overtime. It is close to work and I feel safe. It is also a beautiful park

Do not go here (I don't want competition) :-) Camp hosts/front check in folks were awesome. The full hook up sites are equally awesome - spacious, and adequately dispersed. The partials are a bit rustic within the trees and can be a bit hard to discern if you arrive at night. The Montgomery Motor Speedway is close so you will hear track noise if there is an event on a weekend while you are there but the racing stops at 10PM and then it gets very quiet. Water pressure was ideal and despite street lights, it is pretty dark at night. Watch for fire ants! Bathhouses were clean (from what we observed) and air conditioned. If pulling a TOAD, definitely recommend you unhook at check in as there is no dedicated space to do so at near your site. Wish they would NOT allow dogs because, as usual, there were dogs barking incessantly while there owners remained unconcerned about other people/campers. I blame the owners, not the dogs.

Walmart, restaurants and the like are about 15 miles away in Prattville.

Will definitely stay again if given the opportunity.

We really enjoyed our stay at Gunter Hill. Didn’t know we had such a nice campground so close to Birmingham. Will be back!

I was enjoying my time so much that I wanted to extend my stay for two more days. I went to the gate house and was told they could not extend my stay that I would have to do it on line. Your fantastic web site let me get on line and put in all the information, but when I went to pay it would kick me out. So, after several times attempting to extend for two days I gave up and came home. I worked for the Core several years ago, as a gate keeper, at Hardridge Creek, and we could make and extend reservations for people and it worked out find so why did you change something that worked for something that doesn't? I am disappointed in your reservation system, it could be a lot simpler and easier for the average person to use, but your IT people need to realize not everyone has the expertise they have and the system needs to be more user friendly. Now you know what I think and you won't do anything about it. Have a Blessed Day and if you don't know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior you need to search for the information that you introduce you to Him.
