We only stayed one night this trip, but somehow I got the date wrong and we showed up a day later fully expecting to stay. But the gentleman at the gate "Barry" was awesome. So kind and understanding and he got things worked out for us and never mention my mess up once. The park us great! I think it's more of a couples or early retired couples park. Very relaxing. We are planning a much longer stay next time. Thanks Barry, got the best.

Gunter Hill, Catoma Loop is one of our favorite campgrounds to visit as we travel south.

The Catoma Loop of this campground is full WES services. Concrete pads, all level or nearly so. Easy to navigate. Lots of walking and bicycling opportunities on rolling terrain. Yes, there are mosquitoes at dawn and dusk (September). Not too difficult to find west if coming off US 80 or I65, nav systems will get you there. Located well west of downtown Montgomery and just SW of Maxwell AFB. Lots of DTV channels. Dark and quiet at night. Would camp here again.

Loved my time there. Not much can be done about the mosquitos and poison oak, But I did bring plenty of off this trip and put up the screen tent.

Nice park but restrooms need to be updated. In one there was mold on shower curtains. In another you had to step into cold water to get to your hanging clothes. T-Mobile phone service was spotty.
