First time at this location along the Alabama River, have stayed at one other. This campground was very nice. We got in after hours so, our check in info was at the ranger shack and we had no problem finding our site. Large park with lots of space between sites. We were headed east toward Perry for an FRVA Rally and liked the park so much stopped on the way back. Told our friends about this place, and they checked in today, 3/16 and said how nice it was as well. A hidden Gem!

The problem was that they had a issue with the power and they did not have a site available to move us to. They did try to contact us, but the call never went thru. The gentleman at the front was every helpful in that he was able to get a 1 day refund for us. We did stay only because we had a generator that we could use. It was very cold at night and barely lasted til morning. But other than that, the park looked very nice and will most likely stop again on our way thru. But will make sure that the power is working.

Stayed 5 nights. Campground did not have power to a large majority of sites. Had to run off generator. Will try it again and see what its like when the power is working. Was given a partial refund, but it didnt even cover half the gas and propane spent for the week.

What an amazing campground. Sites are private. Lots a room between sites. Exceptionally kept grounds. Great staff. I cannot give enough praise to this location!

The Antioch loop is less taken care of than the Catoma loop. The road through the campground is very deteriorated.

Well laid out camping with full hookups and trees. Easy access in and out for our 39 RV pulling a car. Our stay was over a rainy weekend so our activities in the area were limited.

Site 16. great concrete pad and easy back in. Most sites here were easy access, well designed. nice location near Catooma Creek back water of the Alabama River. The Antioch loop of sites were closed for the season. We stayed in November. The best way to get here is from Hwy 80 and north on Hwy 7 also named Cantelou Rd. on Google Maps. Especially for larger rigs.Starlink is a concern as there are some sites way back in the trees. Not many trails to hike or places to ride a bike in the park. Fishing is a good activity here.about 8-10 miles to Montgomery.
