It had rained and where we had to hook up was flooded. Had to walk in water to hook up our electric. Park was clean.

This is a lovely, well-maintained park with specious full hookup sites and friendly staff. We had a very enjoyable stay. I stopped at 4 stars because we experienced a really strong sewer smell on several occasions.

It is always very pleasant when we stay at Gunter hill the only problem was the laundry which was out of order the last two times we were there.

Very picturesque camping area with large sites. Rain flooded the electric/water hookup fixtures, a little gravel would have helped. Overall would stay again.

Second time we have stayed here. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained but the campground ring road is very narrow, bumpy and has many trees close to the road. Drive slowly and be vigilant when driving through. The campground hosts are friendly and helpful. Shout out to Theresa, the most welcoming host! The sites are easy to back into but a little close to neighbors in the inner rings so the smoke and noise that are abundant on weekends can be intrusive. The drive into the campground is a narrow residential street with no shoulders and deep ditches so again, drive carefully. All the big box stores for supplies are a short distance away.

Site 1 nice long pull thru, backs up to woods. Sewer connection under water if it rains. Distinct sewer smells different times during our stay, not sure if it was from our site or the dump which is not far behind the site.

This place is beautiful and quiet but the sewage hookups were completely under water. Unfortunately a big rain came the day before we arrived which caused water to pool around all the hookups. Will try another site next time on our way home. Everyone was nice and the concrete pull thru was easy.

Second time at Gunter Hill, one of the nicest state park camp grounds in the country. Well maintained, spacious, just a great experience.

A beautiful park. My site was flat concrete so no worries about getting squared up. Was not near the water and was told that the boat ramp was in an entirely different location. Did walk every day and once holiday weekenders had left it was extremely quiet.

My dog and I stayed here for three nights, needed a break on a trip back from the Midwest to Florida. It was a very peaceful and quiet park. Lots of good walking had a little bit of rain, but no other issues. The restrooms were clean though I didnt use the showers. I was sad that I could not see the river very well as the overlook is overgrown.Sites are flat and had full hookup. I was driving 24 ft Class C.

Gunter Hill is one of our favorite parks, the sites are very nice, big, well designed, level with plenty of room for easy access. There are lots of trees and it is on the river. The facilities are well cared for and everyone has always been very friendly and helpful. This is our go to park as we travel between Florida and Michigan. Highly recommend this park

We have stayed here 3 separate times for 1 night each as a halfway stop on the way to Florida. We will likely come back again. The sites around where we were (1 and 7) HUGE and nestled in woody areas. Full hook-ups a big bonus. The staff we saw were very friendly and helpful. Lots of areas to ride bikes and even some walking paths. The only reason I took off 1 star is because the bathrooms were not very clean. My husband said the same thing about the men's rooms. They were warm when they needed to be but definitely needed updating. there was a laundry facility that I did not use but seemed nice. Still one of the nicer campgrounds we have stayed at.
