Very helpful and friendly host who checked us in. Huge sites. Our stay was too short! We will be back.

All the workers were wonderful. We had a great family Thanksgiving. Thank you Army Corp for making sure we have awesome facilities.

Stayed on 1 night on a holiday weekend. Campground was full. Pull thru site was level. Met attendant and gate and she showed us our site. Grounds were nice and clean. Did not use bathhouse. Stayed in a motorhome on 10/2022

This was a wonderful property that we visited as an overnight both to and from our main location. I almost regret that we did not spend our whole trip at Jennings Ferry instead. We had originally planned for a riverside view, but we were delayed a day. Going online and changing our spot was easy and we ended up with a pull-through on a curve (#40). We liked this spot so much that we changed it online again for our return trip. The main road from the highway is newly paved and enjoyable to drive, but the first turn off from the main road is a downhill crowned left turn that will scrape your hitch if you are towing unless you cut the curve. We did not see anywhere to pick up supplies after leaving the highway before our arrival, so make sure that you are prepared. I did see that there was a lot of deadfall from the trees that you can easily start a small fire, but I do not recall if they sold firewood for a longer fire. The sites are concrete pads, well laid out and spaced apart enough that you can see your neighbours, but far away enough that you cannot tell who left their small barking dog outside all night long in the cold. There was power and water but no sewer. There is NO sewer, so don't try to put your sewer hose in the tube next to the power box. It is NOT the sewer. Just saying this for a friend. No WiFi at the park, and minimal cellular service, but I think that is what makes this location a perfect spot if you really want to get away from the world. I saw that the camp hosts were busy nearly all day and every day making sure that everything was clean and that sites were turned over after each guest. This site will certainly be on our favorite list for any future trip this way.

Long-level sites that are easy to back into with some very long pull-throughs. Park is clean and the interior roads are excellant. Nice playground for kiddies. Good fishing and barge watching on the Black Warrior River.

Beautiful, quiet campground. The only negative was it is 11 miles from interstate. However, the campground experience was worth it!

Grass needs cutting more often than once every two weeks. Corps of Engineers should have a weekly contract with DR Maintenance. Grass grows quickly and gets almost knee high. Especially with all the rate increases they are having recently!
