First off I would like to say the camp host are awesome. They do their best at keeping the campground in order and the bath house is always clean. They are always willing to help in anyway. But, the campground has alot of repairs and maintenance needs and the Government doesnt seem to care. The campground is being limited to only 15 campers per day due to a sewage issue with the dump station. This has been going on over a year. Also many sites have power supply issues and water supply issues. I saw several campers come in and then had to move sites due to no power or water at the site they reserved. Of the 3 campgrounds in the area we like Jennings Ferry the best. But please fix these issues.

beautiful area. very quiet and peaceful. the staff was fantastic. The place was clean but the wasnt any heat in the bath houses!

Beautiful campground, outstanding hosts, wonderful bathrooms and showers....what more can you ask for...it was perfect. Highly recommend.

Great park with lots of privacy between spaces, great views to the lake and lots of trails to enjoy. Good location too, this was our second visit and we will return

The campground was beautiful with full view of the river and its barges. We camped in January so the campground was almost empty. Tons of birds on and around the river.

Nice large sites, clean grounds and immaculate bathrooms. Very peaceful setting at the time we were there. Best COE park we have been to!

COE campground in the hardwood forest on the bank of a big slew off the Black Warrior River where tugboats pass by.This is a good value .. We extended our stay by 3 more days on the day of arrival as we liked it so much! Campsite at the waterfront are back in ... And long enough to leave 5th wheel and truck(s) without a problem! We camped at Jennings Ferry Campground in a 42ft Fifth Wheel.

Jennings Ferry is an incredible setting. It’s nested in the Alabama river trails. When we went the water was high but that didn’t keep the barges from making trips down the Black Warrior River right beside our campsite. It was thrilling! The camp host was great. She had to move our reservation to another site in the campground due to the high water. It was a none issue for us since she coordinated it before we got there. It was a great experience. We will return.

Jennings Ferry is another one of the COE sites that we've added to our favorites list. First, the Corps of Engineers knows how to build things right. The roads are wide with sweeping curves, so there is lots of room to maneuver. The pads are paved, level, and far apart with FHU. It's a bit farther off the main roads, but it is quiet, serene, and beautiful under the full canopy mature trees. We had a site that backed up to the river. The camp host was wonderful.

Jennings Ferry is so beautiful!
We found it by accident while driving on the Interstate.
Our plan was to spend one night and we ended up staying 5 nights!
It is clean and the hosts were so friendly?? We enjoyed watching the tugboats and beautiful sunsets!
